I want to second the kudos to you, Susan, for sharing. As a counselor, I am a strong supporter of being transparent (appropriately and as you feel ready) since I think our secrets tend to be more of a breeding ground for shame than a place of healing and freedom.

Mati, I hope your daughter's health improves. I'm sure it's exhausting to be in a brace so much, so I hope an option presents itself that provides a solution that reduces her pain and lets her live her life brace-free asap.

I'm up for adult and child sized bracelets. What did we say would be on them again?

Life has been busy so I haven't been around the boards much lately. So much has gone on recently. I'll be sending prayers out for a bunch of you who can use them - lots of good vibes too!

Wow, great graphics Sues14 - and thank you Jordak! Adding to that, thanks to everyone here who has put so much effort into this group!

I know nothing about customised jelly bracelets, where to order them, or what sizes they are. However, when you do get them, if you could post the actual size dimensions that would be a great help as some of us have small wrists that may fit better with the chld size. Alternately, some kids have big bones and would prefer an adult size.

You may also want to make sure they are latex-free in case anyone has reactions to latex. Most of the ones I've seen are 100% silicone, but you never know. (As someone with multiple allergies, I think of things like this.)

Agreed, Jennifer - no toes are being stepped on. It's good to make sure we aren't going to expose someone to anaphylaxis!!!

Just wondering about something - are we going to add the name of our group to the thread title? I think it would be fun to have that in addition to the date (if there's room) so new members know right away what our name is. I don't know if that's a good idea or not, or even recommended, but it was just a thought!

Not much is new here, except fall seems to be coming here in Ohio, and I'm glad. I think fall is my favorite season (although I love them all, which is partly why I still choose to live in a state that has all four of them).

Well, because for some crazy reason, Disney refuses make DCL "all Donald Duck, all the time" - I am actually OK with the choice. Its different, and the use of Timothy Mouse is clever. I also have very fond memories of Watching Dumbo as a child.

We had planned to keep the cruise a surprise from DD11 (like we would be able to do so for long... all DCL pictures on computer screensaver.... Dad reading DisBoard every night... get the idea?!).

Anyway, we found out yesterday that DD (and several others) passport is expired... We know that you can substitute other items, but we are big on no worrying...

Well, since DD needed to know soon, and I just learned about character calls, we did this. (is this new, or did we miss this in '06 and '08?). We did it on the DCL reservation site. Goofy called her and we captured all of this on video. Woo Hoo!!

The one thing that I wished DCL would allow, is for us to input the name of the child to be called... but no big deal.

I have a pic to post by MOnday to celebrate 250 days to our leaving together, if I can get photobucket to cooperate!

Wow, talk about a long summer. First Tony's step mom mona had a massive heart attack took extra long to get recovered, then the scare with me and my health. Well at my week and half out we got the call that Tony's mom was going in to get her gall bladder out! K, K, K, should be all fine not! I still being very weak, Tony did not go to the hospital, lots of reasons, (me, no vacation time, big audit at work he is in charge of). His sister kept us informed, and we called often. Well, last tues night we called to check in, she was still having abdominal pain after surgery, were suppose to do a test. We called to find out how they went and were told "we couldn't move her to the other hospital to do. The test because she is in critical condition" I was upset and said if the hospital didn't have the capacity to do the test then she was too critical for her to stay there. Well by morning they were transferring her, she was taken by Arch helicopter to big barnes in St Louis! That night she was talking and joking, the next day she was on total life support and having multi organ failure, started on dialysis. She is sick! We were told to bring in family. She has gotten better only to backslide. I'm saying this only so you know why were are Mia again,and to once again ask for prayers or good wishes! We are in need! We have been soooo tired I hope all gets back on tract soon. What feels like it might break us, only makes us stronger!
