Hi Dis board friends,
Its been a little while. As Tony had stated I was in the hospital almost 2 weeks ago for surgery. I had two very large ovearian cysts. One was 7 cm and the other was 16x18 cm. about the size of a nerf football. I was on the way to a regular doctor check up and started having back pain. While driving in I called Tony and told him I didnt know if I could make it through the appt I was hurting bad. My Dr sent me for a CAT scan. We thought I was passing a kidney stone, but no luck. We did find that as long as I was lying flat my pain went away quickily. So thats what I did all weekend. My Dr. called Monday night, Tuesday I was getting another CAT scan and Ultrasound and by Wed. I was seeing an oncologist gyn. Talk about fast. I was scheduled for surgery 1 month out. All was good at that point because he said if it was bad we would have went right away. As it all worked out all test so far are negative. Just waiting for a final pathology report. I also had gastric bypass at the same time! Got everything done all at once. So it has been a crazy month for us. I am slowly getting back in the swing of things, so I should be back in the Dis mood soon! Oh by the way I have lost 53 lbs since June and 17 in the week after surgery. So things should just keep getting better from here. Thanks for all the well wishes!

Thanks! I have a followup appt on Wednesday...and will find out how much more I've lost, if any.....anxious to see the number.

Couple of things
1) DizDaddy (Tony) and Sues14 (Susan): thank you, thank you for all of your work. I have been reading your thread for a while, and yes, have looked at every post; and really appreciate the time and love you have invested.

2) Having taken Magic in '06 and '08, I'm amazed at the differences in reading the boards for cruising DCL in '11 plus the Fantasy/Dream class (procedures, comments....) this will be interesting.

3) I'm puzzled how to post the family pic. Do we PM it to you, DizDaddy?

4) I want to confirm what a poster said about 10 pages ago: there are no interior cabins available. The virtual porthole has made their popularity almost more than an ocean view!! The ship sounds pretty full from our search for the right adjoining rooms.

5) Now for some pseudodisney trivia... my DisName was chosen due to character in a Disney movie many years BEFORE Disney ever thought about doing the movie... any takers for the riddle?

Hi Everyone! I am back. Well sort of. Still feel pretty lost most of the time!

First of, Susan - glad surgery went well and congrats on the weight loss. Take care during recovery. Can't imagine the "after" picture we will see on the cruise!!!!

Second, thanks to everyone who worked hard on the naming of this group. Two surveys, write in votes - it was pretty complex! All in all, sounds like it is a good solid name.

We spent the summer in Finland (working and playing) and are back suffering through the 100+++ heat in Austin. Ready for summer to be over and cool weather (even the 90s sounds good) to arrive.

I am back to the rat race with both kids back in school and after school activities. My work has taken a strange turn and I am busier and more stressed than ever. Somewhere along the way I agreed to run a 1/2 marathon in November. Shall I say, I am NOT a runner? Should be interesting.

So, with life so busy, I may have to pull out of the FE exchange. I am a bit nervous given the size of the group. Has that already been split up? Will it be split up? Would love to know.

Will try to be more active on here now but please forgive me in advance if I disappear at times.

Welcome!!! Glad to have you join us! I will get the roll call updates soon....I have some other things to update as well, and I'm also thinking of taking the FE information off of page one so everyone will us JohnPa's spreadsheet for the most up-to-date info.

Aww...thanks! We have enjoyed it and there have been many others that have contributed in so many ways.....I've said it again and again, we have a great group of people to sail with!

Have you posted pics to the board before? I use a PhotoBucket account. I can either help you thru the process or you can just PM it to me and I will post it for you....no problem!

Crazy how in demand the virtuals are. We always go for an inside stateroom just for the savings....and the fact that we can use the money for fun, or to schedule the next cruise! Foolishly, we haven't booked while on board yet....rest assured we will NOT repeat that mistake!

I hope the virtuals show DCL how a great idea and innovation can really skew what they think the public wants.

Welcome back Mati! Nice to see you here again. I've wondered several times how things have been going for you and your daughter. I hope things have settled down on the medical side of things! Any chance that your husband has decided to join in on the fun?

As far as the FE goes....we probably need to ramp up discussion SOON, get a head count from the spreadsheet, and make a call on breaking it up into smaller groups. We also need to move on ordering bracelets.
