**Fantasy Becomes Reality** Group--5/19/2012 (INDEX/ROLE CALL, PAGE 1--ENTRY 1)

Hi all!

I just wanted to jump in and say hello as we are booked on this cruise.
A little info: I'm Simone and I'm from Sydney, Australia. Me and the other half Steve took our littles on a 3 night Bahamas cruise on the Dream on May 19th this year. It was there we realised we loved Disney Cruises so we rebooked another for the same date next year! It is a massive trip for us but we loved it so much we have worked our whole trip around the cruise! :lovestruc We are all so excited to be going again! The kids are forever saying "whe we go on the Mickey cruise boat"
Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Howdy and welcome!!!

Take a look at page one of this thread...for the format of sharing your family info. We look forward to meeting you.

I just bought trip insurance for the cruise. I felt so overwhelmed :confused3. Last time we just got DCL insurance and this time I wanted to shop around. We got it alot cheaper, and hopefully we will not have to use it.

Today we are officially at 299 days and counting. Who has started packing?

New pic posted today....the funnel is looking darn near complete!

We are booked on this cruise. It is our 2nd Disney cruise, and I am kicking myself that I didn't book it in March on the cruise to take advantage of the onboard booking specials. Oh well!

Since we are spending a few days in WDW before the cruise, we are at 297 days :cool1: ! And yes, I started packing months ago :rotfl2:.

When you are DCL extremists.....uh....I mean 'enthusiasts', do we ever really un-pack??? LOL

We will be heading down a few days early also. I've always heard that if you are are going to do parks and cruise, do the parks first. Agree/disagree?

Welcome, and you are in good company. We also didn't book onboard. We have learned our lesson, and we are proving it come May 2012!

I will get you added to page 1 hopefully this evening! Again, :welcome::welcome::welcome:

We're arriving a week and a half early to visit Universal Studios and WDW, so we're only 288 days away! I'm even doing some packing today. (For a different trip, but still packing...) :goodvibes

Hi everyone! Has anyone started looking into excursions? I've been reading great reviews about Bernard's Tours is St Maarten, but I am a little nervous about booking outside of DCL. No ideas for St. Thomas yet. We will be traveling with our children(2,4). Any suggestions? Definitely want to see Maho Beach in St. Maarten.

OK, you will all be very jealous.......a good friend of mine that I used to work with moved to St. Maarten a little over a year ago :cool1: . She absolutely LOVES it :lovestruc and plans on staying there for quite some time. She has kindly offered to be the private island tour guide for my family while we are in port  . She was back home visiting last month and spent some time highlighting all the things that she wants to show us. It will be so neat to see her smiling face when we dock :dance3:.

We've started to look at the excursions too, still not sure if we'll do any.
I'd also be interested if anyone else has any info/comments/etc from their experience or from what they've heard. I won't be doing any shopping, but it would be nice to see a bit of the islands and/or visit a beach. My DH was thinking of Coral World and noticed a family pass is about $60 if we get our own transportation. I'm not sure if we should try to do that since we are not experienced at all.

On another note:

Hello and Welcome! to our new friends!

I did vote with the new poll, seemed very easy!

Yep, I am jealous! So what things does she reccommend?

We are definitely looking at the beach excursions in both ports. I like the ones with lunch included but of course they are more expensive. We really don't stay long so I'm not sure what we will do yet. I would love some of the snorkeling ones too.
