So our cruise is pretty far off, but in looking on line, at facebook, etsy, etc., the FE gifts have the potential to be time consuming depending upon what you decide to do and how many people you need to get/make a gift for. I've never cruised before and have certainly never participated in a FE, let alone organize one. I think I could probably maintain the list of participants unless someone else steps up prior to our cruise. Regardless, I've started to collect my FE gifts and ideas.

I guess the best way to start is to subscribe to our cruise thread so that we get notified when a new post is entered. We can take it from there. I might even go so far as to suggest adding each other as "friends" here in order to keep in touch within the forums. Looking forward to more magic!!

So since we are supposed to set this up ourselves, perhaps we should come up with the best way to do it. There's an awful lot to weed through in these forums, so I'm wondering if a facebook group might be the way to go. Willing to hear everyone's thoughts.

Once we do decide how to set it up, I'd assume we'd need to exchange room numbers etc. I'm going to continue digging to figure this out. We do have a year+ !!

I'm not, as far as I know, going on this cruise, but I like reading about the itinerary since we just did it with RCCL.

FWIW I won't mix my facebook life with my dis life, so it's best to do FE stuff here. (assuming others are like me, that is...then again, I don't have interest in FEs anyway, so maybe I'm just an oddball and no one agrees, LOL)

Understood. My FB is frankly my family and very close friends so it's not my cup of tea to do that either, but I had seen it so I thought if throw it out there. I thought this was our cruise meet thread and the appropriate place to start one, but apparently I'm mistaken. Guess I'll have to weed thru more forums... Oh what fun!

Yeaaaaaaa! As I said, it's still far away. I'm starting to collect my FE stuff because it know it will take time to pull it all together. I'm willing to wait and see if anyone else jumps on board, so to speak! If not and it ends up being just our few families, I think that's great too! Can't wait.

I am all about an FE!! This will be my 3rd, I am by no means an expert but if I can help with anything let me know! In the other two I did, we did make a private FB group, I saw above that was not something you were all interested in.

It seemed to work the best to stay on top of things, we didn't add each other as friends, just joined the group by request so one one could really snoop on anything that was private. I was worried as well. From that we had a place to save the doctuments that had all our cabin #'s and allergies ect. Someone went so far as to put them on a deck plan for easy distribution...they were hard core let me tell you!!

Anyway, again, I am Kati! Happy to be booked on this trip and happy to help, excited to FE with all of you!!!!

Sounds good! I was totally a quiet participant last time. We actually did a B2B so I did two FE's in 6 days...needless to say I learned a ton!


All together we will have 3 state rooms so we are all participating! But I am the only one that will be on the boards I think from our group.

Let me look back at our old links and see how they passed the document around besides FB if that isn't the direction you want to take. I might even have a template.

Ooooo... We're getting there folks! I have subscribed to a thread all about FEs. I may have even posted the link somewhere in my previous comments. Know we're over 400 days out, but it feels so close when you can talk to other people who are as excited as you!

I think this was the link. In any case the thread is All you wanted to know about fish extenders (FEs) but we're afraid to ask. I've also joined a Facebook Group with great FE ideas. It's not specific to our cruise, just lots of crafty cool ideas.
