Had this booked but just changed to Cat 8D Family Oceanview Stateroom. I gave up the magic porthole for 40sq ft more and round tub/shower plus the huge porthole with window seat.
New total - $3897 (so only $56 increase...seemed like a no brainer!!)

Does this include an onboard booking discount? This is a great price. We are booked on same sailing 2 adults, 1 teen, 1 child and got a price by phone from DCL for 8D $4392. Usually a teen is about $30-50 more than a child.

How can it be such a difference in price?

Her 2nd child is under 3. It's a couple hundred $ difference.

Hi, my 2nd kid is under 3 so thats why, big diff in price. Also, no insurance and no transfers since sooo much less $$ to do on own and not through DCL.

That's why we changed -- wanted that round shower with the rain showerhead and couldn't resist the extra square footage Our's was a $350 difference, but still the cheapest upgrade we've ever priced. Thought, why the heck not! And we get to try a murphy bed for the first time.

Ahhh, that's why. Yes, we never get ins through DCL. I like www.insuremytrip.com since I can add the cost of airfare and precruise hotel stay too. I do like DCL bus back to MCO post cruise just to be able to use their onboard check in service. It's so nice to not have to wait in line to check bags after the cruise. Once you put your luggage outside your door the last night, you don't see it until you arrive at your home airport. That itself is worth the few extra $$$ to use their bus.
