I am working through my FE shopping list, got suntan lotion as an amazing deal, and have been reading about excursions until I am totally confused on what we'll do!

Agreed! Definitely better than nothing! I need to just hop on more often, because the notifications obviously aren't working.

We haven't decided what to do on excursions yet, either! So many choices.

I don't think we are going to do any excursions. We may get off the ship and just walk around a bit. Mainly we are just going to chill on the ship.

Sorry for the delay, Katekins13, I must have missed the notification of your post. I'll add you to the FE lists...we are in a transition state right now since we haven't heard from some folks so I suspect they will not be participating but it's hard to know when to remove their names....with this in mind, my hope is to clarify the lists during the beginning of August!

Can some explain how the gift exchange works. Do we give a gift each day to the people in our group or do you just give one big gift one of the days to each person in your group. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I want to make sure we plan fun things.

Hi! From the research I have done, it seems to be very much about your choice. You can give as many, or as few as you wish. I think I will be giving 1 gift to each cabin, and 1 gift to each person. You can drop off gifts any time that is convenient...we may do 1 level each day, or maybe all together....the emphasis is on being creative and having fun!!! I hope this helps!

People in the FE groups usually either give 1 gift per cabin, or 1 gift per person........depends on the gift. This is up to the giver. Have fun.

We're still sailing and doing the FE! I just don't get on here a lot - some days after being on the computer at work all day I just want to do other things than log in. However, we're looking forward to the cruise.

I love Christmas and the ships at Christmas are a favorite of mine! We will also being staying in the parks 2 days before this cruise. Is anyone else?
Not actually sure if we will go to the parks, I just didn't want us to fly in the day of etc... get some R&R in before (but don't tell DH that I am trying to get us to a park for 1 day!

Still have a lot of summer plans here and just found out I have a business trip in Sept to plan for

I think as it gets closer people may chat more. Let me think- I think there was some form like a 20 questions we've used on prior sailings for people to get to know each other before. Let me see if I can find one or make one up.

I also haven't received any notifications.

Also, booked our airfare today and booked our 2nights before the cruise at AOA. Anyone else staying at the parks before the cruise? Going to MVMCP or a park??

We are hoping that it isn't a mistake doing WDW in conjunction with the cruise. But since we are traveling so far, and have never been to WDW, we decided to atleast get a couple days in and see if it's something we'd like to do again in the future.

I completely understand but gave up on personalized items since I just can't be sure folks are cruising with us! Kinda weird but I think the 200+ folks on facebook are adding to the complexity of the situation

I am still completely new to the boards..and it seems like Facebook and the boards are two different entities that don't communicate between them, but what about putting a post on the Facebook page for our group, letting people know what the deadline is so if they are on both they will have had notification?? It is completely just a suggestion, and I understand if it's not an acceptable idea...........I am not wanting to " rock the boat" at all, but with this unique situation of both groups being popular and (now) active I wondered if it might be a good idea?
