Fantastic Voyage! 10/31 to 11/7/2015 [The Return of the MutinEars!]

I am sorry to report I won't be able to assist with organizing the FE. Just had a ton of new stuff thrown at me at work and finding difficult to manage everything. I am sure you guys will find someone else to help organize and manage your FE, good luck everyone!

Recently booked this cruise ! Taking my sil for her birthday ! It will be Me ( Gina ), dh Bruce and Sil ,Cindy.
This will be our 15th cruise on Disney and going on our favorite ship ! If the FE gets going, I'd love to join !
We're retired, in our 60's and also DVC members.
Btw, just returned from a cruise that stopped in Cozumel. Went to Nachi Cocum and had a wonderful time.
You make your res online. All inclusive, beach, large pool with swim up bar, hot tubs, all the alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks you want, plus lunch. Also clean restrooms, nice coverd open air dining. The best part is they limit the # of guests to 100.... No crowds !! Highly recommend it ! I think it was $80 pp. you pay 1/2 deposit. The rest when you get there. You do have to pay for a taxi, $15 each way. When you're ready to leave, they'll call a taxi for you. Super nice people !

Is anyone interested in a mini-Fish Extender Exchange? I'm thinking if I can find 5 other families with young kids (mine will be 6&4 ATOS) - we can each pick a day. ...

... I'm not sure how the FE works. Do I need to sign up in a group or do I just hang it from the door when we set sail?

Please add our family as well (Hunterdon County represent!). Myself, DH, DD (9), DD (6) and DS (3) - the "mini" version of this sounds great!

...I'm so excited we found out about this though. We will be in room 2046. Do you need any more info to add us?

It appears that Penguin73 has decided not to host the FE.

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one is currently organizing a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right now in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions.

So sorry, I posted this on the wrong DisGroup. We are on the Oct 24 sailing. Enjoy your cruise !!

I'm wanting to get an FE going for this cruise. I have a crazy work schedule, but would be willing to try to co-organize it if an experienced cruiser will help that has done a FE.

Just booked!! Family of 4 from Tampa, FL.... Hoping that some close friends from Orlando, FL will be also coming along. This is our first Disney cruise. It has been a long time wish of my wife to take a Disney cruise and I'm just happy to make it happen... :) So far we got a deluxe cabin with port window. I hope there's an possibility of upgrading. I'm 6'1 so small room is going to be tough but doable....

Hey we are jumping in! So excited to be on the cruise--I've lost track of how many times this booking has moved but our last cruise was 11/2012 (can't believe it has been so long!!!) We are me (44), DH (45), DD (13), DD (11) and can't wait to meet you all!

OK, so we booked the flights down, a night at the Radisson and things are chugging along! Anyone else staying there on the 30th?
:flower1:

So this is my family's first Disney cruise and I'm wondering what's the earliest they would allow people to board ? With the understanding that people will be assigned boarding times. I don't know my time for now, but lets say it's a 3pm time, can I arrive at 9am and be able to process and board or will they say come back at 3pm ? Inquiring minds wants to know :)

Thanks

Currently there is no organizer for an FE for this cruise.
I'd be happy to run it---who my kidding my DD is DYING to run it. Trust me she is more organized than most adults I know. Can people PM me the following if you'd like to participate?
1. DIS name/ Real names
2. Members and ages of those traveling with you
3. Cabin number
4. Shoe size for all female members (ok, that's a personally motivated request!)

From what I understand and remember from last cruise, you select a boarding time online prior to sailing. They didn't let us board prior to that time but I also don't think you'l wait around until three.

I think they start letting people get onboard around noon - 12:30ish. . . when you checkin at the port you will be given a boarding number and you will listen for that number to be called. Once they start, it goes pretty quickly. After maybe 30 to 40 minutes everyone is just able to board right after checking in.

A couple tips to remember, have your passports and boarding papers, for all passengers printed and out ready to show the Castmember. [MAKE SURE YOUR PASSPORT IS NOT IN YOUR CHECKED IN LUGGAGE]

Part of the hold up in the line to get on board is the boarding photo, if for some reason you don't want one, you can go around the line, right after you get to the section of the line where they scan your boarding pass/key to the world card. [If you are getting a boarding photo done, consider coordinating shirts with everyone in your party - it looks nice!]

Once through boarding photo section of the line, you will finally be at the ship, and you will be announced as you walk onboard! If you are with a large group of people with different last names feel free to provide a fun alternative like "the mickey mouse club" or whatever you can come up with.

You will be approached by another Castmember that will give you some direction. Most people start with deciding where to have lunch - Cabanas or Enchanted Garden. If you want to add cash to your account or you want to remove your automatic tips, head to guest services. If you haven't been able to get a Palo/Remy reservation, you can head up there. If you have early dining and want late, or want to report a food allergy, head to Royal Court

Hello all. this will be our first cruise ever. Our deposit is in, flight is done, room reservations done, rental cars done. The Kids are so excited to get it started. The wife is already buying stuff....

Hi Dland,

I put down 80% on the deposit and simply have to surprise the family. They have no idea :) It'll be our first Disney Cruise as well... We live in Tampa, FL so it'll be just a short drive to the port and off we are... We're also Disney pass holders for DisneyWorld
