Fantastic seating question

we currently have the fantasmic dining reserved seats reservation (whatever it’s really called). However my son will need to sit in his wheelchair for the show. Will we even be able to use the reserved seating area or am I going to be throwing away money?

Hi, reichinger. Here is a quote from the FAQ at the top of this board about the wheelchair/mobility scooter seating,

• Fantasmic! - There is a stroller parking area about 2/3 of the way between the entrance to the attraction and the seating area. Wheelchairs or ECVs COULD be parked there, but be aware that the seating for the show is stadium style, with seating on steps. There are wheelchair/ECV spots at the top row of the theater. Each wheelchair/ECV spot has a bench seat for one companion and the rest of your party will be seated in the rows in front of that. There are a few wheelchair/ECV spots in the very front row, accessed by a ramp to the far left of the seating area.

Know Before You Go
Learn important information about reserved seating, scheduling and more.

• Separate theme park admission is required and is not included in the price of the dining package.
• You can pick up your seating voucher for Fantasmic! at the time of your meal.
• Seating at Hollywood Hills Amphitheater begins 90 minutes prior to show time. You must arrive at least 25 minutes prior to show time to be seated in the reserved section. Showtimes can be found online or on the Times Guide at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
• Your seats are not assigned. Rather, you choose your seats within the reserved section on a first-come, first-served basis
• The entrance for dining packages is located on Sunset Boulevard next to Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage.
• The Fantasmic! Dining Package is available on all Fantasmic! show days.
• In the event of a show cancelation due to inclement weather, guaranteed seating will be made available for an alternative performance within 5 days of the date you were originally scheduled to attend. Valid theme park admission is required.
• Please note that your dining experience will still take place, even in the event that your entertainment experience is canceled.

A couple sections of seats are reserved for those with the Fantasmic dinner package. There is HA seating at the back of these sections, same as the rest of the theater. I believe there are a few (very few) HA seats in the front row, but those go quickly. We’ve always watched from the back.

as others have said handicapped seating is in all sections of the show so yes your son can stay in his wheelchair. one of you can sit beside him and rest of your party will sit in front of him. and yes we have done this with dining Ressie ticket

My daughter uses a wheelchair and she really likes the seating at Fantasmic because she gets her own “box” to park in (see pic posted above). Plus she thinks the view is good. We have always done the seating package and had good results. You still want to get there early though because it is usually very crowded.
