What exactly is it? Fireworks? Broadway Production? Special effects? Lasers?

I know lots of people say they like it, but I also know people have different tastes. I have no interest in Broadway style shows, so if Fantasmic has a lot of that aspect, I'd like to know ahead of time.

Thanks!

It is a lights, laser, fire, water and fireworks show, with a story thrown in to tie it all together...IT IS INCREDIBLE and should NOT be missed!! IMHO

The part I love most is that they show cartoon clips on walls of water. It's great! And at the end they have a big boat with all the characters aboard! :cool1:

My DH and I LOVED Fantasmic. It's nothing like any show I've seen on Broadway... The special effects are really amazing; you'll be watching and wondering, "How did they do that!?"

There are a couple of drawbacks to Fantasmic.

- Most people take their seats and wait a really long time for the show to begin. All of that waiting can be tough if you have little kids. (Maybe you can avoid this by doing a Fantasmic dinner package which guarantees seating in a special VIP section.)_

- You can get very wet if you sit in the front rows.

- Some small children might be scared of the dark characters/villains in the show, but you can assure them that there will be a happy Disney ending. :wizard:

Hope this helps... Have a great time!

OK, I'm sold! I just didn't want to waste time waiting and sitting there if I could have been on TOT. :earboy2:

DO NOT miss it. It was my FAVORITE part of going to Disney last year. I watch the video and listen to the soundtrack OVER and OVER.

Definitely not a waste of time. I would suggest not sitting too close to the water. I don't want to spoil the show but the closer you get the hotter it becomes.

It's certainly not to be missed.

Thank you as always Bob for posting the link to my site :)

I love love love Fantasmic! :maleficen

I actually tried to explain to DBf what Fantasmic was (he's never been any of the times he's gone to WDW :earseek: ) and wound up just saying he NEEDS to go and see for himself since its so hard to explain to anyone who's never seen it!! ::MickeyMo

I like Broadway shows, but I don't really get into theme parks shows (for me, a lot of the other Disney shows fall under that category). Fantasmic is a lot of fun, very cool effects, and the whole audience really gets into it. Try it!

When we went in July, we waited until about 20 minutes prior to the show. We were still able to get seating (and it was packed). We were seated near the top of the studium, which was great because you are one of the first to get out! The others at the bottom had to wait a long time until everyone else cleared out. So if you have a fast pass for TOT or RRC feel free to utilize it and arrive for Fantasmic a little later than everyone else that has been waiting in line. We go every summer and have been able to keep this strategy every time.
Enjoy it!

This was our favorite show by far! My five-year-old, who has a hard time being still, was riveted by this show.

My bf and I are leaving it for the last night, but now we want to move it up in case it is canceled for bad weather. That show is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
