How early should we get ther to get seats?

Depending on what time of the year you're there.If you're there during a busy time you better get there at least one hour prior to the show.If there are 2 showings while you are there the second will be less crowded and not require as long a wait time.

I would agree with Baloo. Arrive at least an hour early to get good seats.

When I went at the end of May, early June of 2002, I got there 2 hours early so that I could get a good seat. I ended up sitting right in the middle, about 5 or 6 rows from the top. I think I had the best seat in the house, as everyone up front was getting wet and I could see everything that was to the left and right of me.

A CM in line at a counter service restaurant in MK overheard our discussion about seeing Fantasmic. He told us that he works there and that we should try to go there 2 hours early. We followed his advice and got great seats. It sounds like alot of time, but if you get snacks or even a dinner you can carry (ie hamburger or hot dog), you can SIT (nice on the park-tired feet) and visit with your family and the families around you while waiting for the show. We had two fairly busy kids with us (then 5 and 9) and it still didn't seem like 2 hours.

I agree that getting there at least one hour before it starts is a must if you want really good seats. However, if you can't swing that, even the seats way off to the side aren't horrible. Last trip we made a sudden change of plans and did Fantasmic at 7:30 (too tired to wait until 9:00 for Illuminations). So we ended up going into Fantasmic last minute as we were already at MGM. We were some of the last people to get in and still had a pretty decent view.
