Hi All

Me again this time I wondered if anyone could help me book a Fantasmic dinner package for late October. Do I have to call Florida or can I book on line. One member of my party is a coeliac and so it would be really useful if I could find out the names of the restaurants to search for menu choices.

Cheers

Debbie

Hi Debbie :wave2:

You will need to call WDW Dining on 001 407 939 3463 to make your PS for Fantasmic (that's the entire number, including the international dialling code from the UK). Most WDW restaurants are very good about catering to special diets as long as you call ahead of time. I suggest that you do so a couple of days before you plan to eat anywhere and it might also be worth mentioning when you make your PSs.

You can find restaurant reviews right here on The DIS and Deb Wills' site is a good place to find menus.

How much does the fantasmic package cost adult/child?
Do you choose which restaurant? are they all the same price?
First time visitor and a bit overwhelmed by all the decisions to be made HELP!!!

The restaurants currently participating are:

Brown Derby $36.99 adult/$9.99 child
Mama Melrose $28.99 adult/$9.99 child
Hollywood & Vine $21.99 adult/$10.99 child

H&V is an all-you-can-eat buffet, MM is Italian (pasta and pizza) and BD is more upscale. From what I've read recently, MM and BD are set meals for the Fantasmic Package (a couple of choices for each course rather than the full menu).

Hi Debbie

Thanks for this reply too, you have been a great help.

Great name by the way.

Debbie

We did the FDP at H&V last Oct and found it very enjoyable. The food is very good with plenty of very tasty things to choose from, as it’s a buffet you can have a bit of everything. They also had little mini desserts and cakes which were superb, especially the Key Lime Pie!

Another vote for Hollywood & Vine. We booked a FDP last year for H&V as its one of our fave places to eat. Once again we had a fantastic meal for a very reasonable price. The only downer was that Fantasmic was cancelled that night because of a huge storm.... . Still the meal was nice, and you dont pay extra for the FDP at H&V anyway! I think I am right in saying that at the Brown Derby and Mama Melrose you are limited to specific menu choices?? Can anyone clarify?

After just returning from our very first Florida Experience "WOW", all I can say is that we booked H&V on the day for the dinner package and it was superb. All you can eat of all you can imagine. I felt like the Cat from Red Dwarf in front of the fish dipenser !!, one server just kept asking me "steak?", well it would have been rude to refuse!
PS the show is amazing also.

How do I book an FDP? I saw the H&V menu on Debs site and it looks lovely!!!! Do I just book a PS for H&V or is the FDP a seperate thing?

its all sooo confusing for a first timer like me!!!!
:p

Thanks

You need to specifically ask for a Fantasmic Dinner Package at Hollywood & Vine. Call WDW-DINE as you would to book any other Priority Seating. There are only a certain amount of tickets available for the reserved seating at the show, so it IS advisable to book. Bear in mind also, that if you change your mind, you MUST call and cancel with at least 48 hours notice, otherwise you will be charged for the cost of the meal. I seem to remember this is one PS where they take your credit card number at the time of reservation...nothing is debited unless you fail to keep your PS.

Good luck!!

Yes, Fantasmic should be on every night in October. Last year, park closing varied between 7pm and 9pm, with two showings of Fantasmic on the one night the park stayed open until 9pm. Fantasmic usually starts at the official closing time.

Thanks Debbie for your quick reply:)

Our plan was to park at Boardwalk, breakfast for around 8am at spoodles, get waterlaunch to mgm and have a late lunch at pizza planet and stop for Fantasmic if were not to tired.

Were staying off site:( on I.D and have DD9 & DD7

What do you think?
