DH and I have 2 days during our vacation (May 7-13) that we have nothing planned. I know we can go to the boardwalk or DTD but how long can we stay there? We are going to MGM on Tues. but we already have ADR's for 50's Prime Time. So I was wondering if we should use one of out free days to see Fantamic. This is our 1st trip to DW and I do not know if Hubby with like. I was just thinking about seeing what the line would be like on Tues. So please help me out here and tell me what you think. Is fantasmic a must do or a could see it next time???

Please tell me about it and if DH would like it!

Thanks! :goodvibes

if we're in orlando to go to universal or seaworld, we plan our night to stop in for fantasmic on the way home. the stadium seats 10,000 and numerous times throughout the year there are 2 shows per night, if that tells you anything. :)

We have only been once and we think this is wonderful. We actually decided to get hopper tickets so that we could be sure to see this show.

I think "Fantasmic" is one of the very best things at Disney and totally worth your time. Try to get to the stadium at least an hour ahead of time and get a seat in the Scar or Mickey sections so that you won't see it at an angle. If you get a seat too far down in those sections you might get misted so if that would bother you, try for a seat about 1/3 to halfway up. My daughters and I have probably seen it 15 times and always plan to see it again when we are at Disney.

We never made time for it in the past and decided to see it on our last trip. We were disappointed but decided to see it once more just to see if we liked it any better, unfortunately for us I must tell you that seeing it two times did not change my mind on this show. I mean don’t get me wrong it’s a Disney show and I think anything Disney should be done at least once, but we went there thinking it was going to be a fireworks show and it was anything but that.

Personally, I love Fantasmic. However, having said that, I know a number of people who don't care for it at all. I think it's worth seeing at least once to determine if you like it or not.

My husband and myself saw Fantasmic in March 2004 and we really didn't think it was worth the two hour wait we had to see it. I had pretty much decided not going again this March but now my husband has mentioned that maybe we should give it another shot, but honestly I don't want to waste my valuable Disney time for a show that didn't really wow me, depending on how the crowds are when we are at Disney we might give it another try but it is not worth two hour wait.

Wow! I'm really surprised by some of the negative reactions here. For my family, a trip to WDW is not complete without seeing Fantasmic. It's not a fireworks show; it's more like a stage show on a grand scale. If you love the Disney characters and a spectacular with a good story line, you'll love Fantasmic. I rate it as not to be missed: 4-1/2 out of 5 stars. :thumbsup2

Tim, who actually takes time away from his beloved RnRC to see Fantasmic!

... by all the people who love this show. I was in the same boat where I saw it once then tried again to make sure it was not an 'off' day. To me it is just a bunch of movie clips on water that gets old pretty fast. But a lot of poeple do enjoy it - you should see it once to decide for yourself. To me I would take the trip to Epcot to see Illuminations over Fantasmic any day.

Fantasmic is definitely the best evening show in WDW. The music and amazing sound system alone is reason enough to go. The show is definitely spectacular. Illuminations and Wishes are great, but I never go to WDW without seeing Fantasmic AT LEAST once.

see how it all works? my family hates Illuminations. yuk. I would never wait 2 hours for fantasmic. I wouldn't wait 2 hours for anything. it's all about the off-seasons. fantasmic at 7:00, over at 7:30. home by 8:30. :)

I've seen it twice now and didn't like it all, If you think watching clips of disney films projected onto a curtain of water is "cool" then you will love it!

Unfortunately the rest of my family love it so we will be back there again this year....

Fantasmic is a big nay for me. Personally I hate the show but a lot of people really love it. I would much rather do Illuminations at Epcot.

I cant believe anyone wouldnt like this. The show is excellent, and you do not have to get there 2hrs before especially if there are 2 shows. Even if there is only one show 1 hr. is plenty of time. We went in 2000 and didnt see it, then went in 2001 for our honeymoon and saw the show. I definately regreted not seeing it the first time. We went again in 2003 and made sure we didnt miss it. BTW there is a fantasmic dinner package with reserved seating and you can get to the show right before it starts. I am not sure which restaraunts are included, maybe another poster can help you with that. Definately give it one chance, I am sure you will love it. Have a good time :cheer2:

Just so the OP knows, this show is not just clips of Disney shows projected on water. There are elaborate scenes on stage as well.

Definite Yea! All the Way! I wouldn't miss a Day! (okay, I took it a bit far there. . .but this is a great show.)

I hope you like it!!

Both me and DH were not overly impressed with Fantasmic but that was only our opinion. I would always say for people to give it a go as lots of people really love the show.
