Ok, not sure if I put this post in the correct place, so if it belongs under restaurants and meals I'm sorry in advance.

I booked the Fantasmic dinner package with dinner at The Brown Derby. My question is though, if it rains and Fantasmic gets cancelled, can you see the show on another night with the same benefits as the package?? :confused3

no.if it rains on the night of your dinner package and fantasmic is cancelled then you forfeit your priority seats.

After that night you will have to queue as normal.

I know this to be true, but when I called to book the package she said that they would give me a voucher for another night. I was surprised by this. I didn't even inquire because I knew if it rained it would be a "oh well."

I was told the same thing when I booked the Fantasmic package. If it rains on your night, you are pretty much out of luck. We have done the package 4 times, and it has never rained.

Unless you really want to eat at one of the Fantasmic restaurants, I wouldn't do the package. I just got back from WDW on Monday, and was at MGM on Saturday evening. We got to the Fantasmic theatre at about 8:25, walked right in (no line) and found plenty of available seats. We were in the second section from the left. We could have sat pretty low, but chose to sit up high, near the concessions, in order to exit quickly after the show. Even with the package they say to get there about 30 minutes early. I wouldn't waste a TS (on the Dining Plan) to get the package. Or 2 for Brown Derby! By the way, the parks were VERY crowded over Memorial Day weekend - it's not like we were there during a slow period. Have fun!!

Our family does the FDP at Mama Melrose's. The food there is always good. We have two DDs ages 7 & 4, and we like to be able to just walk in the back way and not wait. Fantasmic is a funnuy thing, since sometimes the lines are real long and other times they are not. There seems to be no way to guess.

I have ADRS for November, but there are rumors that there is going to be a rehab. I hop not, since this is my 7 year olds favorite thing to do at MGM. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

You cannot see the show another night...however, you get to eat at the Brown Derby for, what $40 per adult. You get appetizer, entree, dessert, and a drink. If you went there without the package, you could end up paying close to $80 per adult. It's still a deal!!!!!
