After looking at the Fantasmic super thread, I'm still trying to decide where is the beast place to view fantasmic while the kids, 5 and 2.5 sit in the double stroller. Is it better to be in the back of the seating area or the front of the standing area? (would love to do the desert package, but with my daughter's food allergies, it's out of the question.)

To me it seems obvious it would be better to be at the back of the seated area with a stroller.

I don't think they let you keep the strollers up if you're out front.

We only ever did Disney with strollers twice, and the last time was at least 7 or 8 years ago. When we did watch Fantasmic one time and still had a stroller, the policy then was that if you were in the center sitting section, you couldn't have a standing up stroller in there. We had to take our son out of the stroller and seat him on the ground with us. Since we had a small stroller, we were given the option of folding it down and laying it beside us or rolling it out of the area to a stroller parking area. Oh, we were also offered to be allowed to vacate our sitting space and move to the standing area just behind the sitting area. By that time though, the standing area was pretty full, we had waited a long time for our good view, and DS wouldn't have been able to see anything from back there anyway. Has the Fantasmic stroller policy changed such that kids are now allowed to sit in their strollers in the main sitting area?

I do believe that strollers and ECVs are allowed in the back of the sitting area. I see them there when I go.

OK. Makes sense since they would be allowed in the front of the standing area which starts immediately behind the last row of sitting. Anyone seated further up though was asked to collapse or remove their strollers. It's been a while since we have sat and waited dead center. We have found a different spot that we much prefer and that doesn't involve as much wait time.

It's been a while since we'e been in the standing area, but in the past they would not allow strollers in the standing area because you were standing shoulder to shoulder, like sardines. Best bet would be to ask a few CM's as they are roping off the area where you can have a stroller and not need to fold it up.

One place is up on that terrace with all the tables and chairs. You can have a stroller in there and then the adults can have chairs. You can have kids sitting on your lap or even kids in chairs, but everyone has to have a seat. No standing in there.

Just as HydroGuy said that they will allow strollers, ECV, or wheelchairs at the back of the sitting area. I know for a fact that all strollers can't be up in the front or middle or the sitting area. But the CM's will allow the strollers, ECV, or wheelchairs at the back side of the rope off area.

nope they dont...

yes!!!! right at the back where they rope the seating area off...you can stand there with a stroller or ecv...(the rope will be at your back)...OP, just ask a F! CM where they will rope it off and tell them what you are trying to do and they will show you where to stand and since you are trying to find the best spot...I will tell you...right in the middle of the shack!!!!!! im a F! PRO and that is an awesome spot!!! :goodvibes

Like others have said, they make you leave your stroller in the back. The reason I know this, is because one year when we did the dessert package, we watched a woman get into an argument with a CM because she was told she needed to park her stroller there, so she did. And left her baby in it, while she wandered up to the front of the pack with the rest of her family to watch the show. It was surreal. The CMs told her that she had to remain WITH her baby, or she would be escorted out of the park.

I still can't quite get over that one.

Easy. Go to the back of the sitting area. You can leave the stroller uP with the kids in it and sit on the ground next to them. You will want to get there extra early to make sure you get the very back or else you will need to collapse the stroller.

Enjoy,
Dreams

What do you mean by "the shack"?
We're planning on getting a spot at 8pm for the 9pm show, and then DH and I will switch off holding the spot with the stroller and taking the kids to the tiki room, jungle cruise etc (they would spend the entire trip in the tiki room if we let them!)

Wow! That's horrible!

I almost feel bad being the one to tell you this, but 8pm is not early and if you want to make absolutely sure that you get the back row of the seated area, 8pm is most likely nowhere near early enough. To leave your kids in the double stroller you are limiting yourself to one of X limited spots, with no option but to fold up the stroller if they are all taken. 8pm is not early enough if you want to make absolutely sure you can keep the kids in the stroller. Sorry, but true.

As for the "shack..."

If you are at the riverfront and looking at the island (where part of Fantasmic! is performed, there is a shack/house. The dead center of that shack would be considered the dead center stage for the show.

This is not my photo, but you can see the shack. :)

Thanks for the photo, Dreams. It helps a lot.
Forgot to say that we'll be there Sept. 23rd, so hoping the crowds won't be too bad. We went at this time last year, but chose to see the fireworks instead of fantasmic. I guess we'll see what the crowds are looking like at 7pm, but if the kids can't watch from the stroller, it's not the end of the world. I just thought it would be easier for them to see and more comfortable than sitting on the ground.

We've kept our double jogger UP during Fantasmic by sitting in the back. The one thing I will say is to check out the vents when you sit down. The Pirates ride vents to the sitting area and if you get too close to them they smell bad! We moved a couple of times to get a "non-smelly" spot.

We did leave the stroller up in the back and sat beside it. It worked out really great for the kids since they were up a little higher and could sit comfortably.
