Hi - I sure am using this board a lot to get info - thanks!

My question: I have been told to see shows such as Fantasmic and Wishes. DO we need reservations for these? If so, how do I make them? Any others you would suggest we see?

Linda

Fantasmic is a amphitheater outdoor show at MGM and Wishes is the end of the day fireworks presentation at the Magic Kingdom. Both are freem however Fantasmic does have a dinner package you can do to get reserved seating. The show is most often crowded. Here are a few links for you.

Welcome to the Boards and happy planning.

Wishes is the nighttime firework spectacular at MK and although you will need to be in the MK early and select a place to watch them, technically no you don't need a ressie.

Fantasmic is held at MGM in the amphitheatre built for it and again depending on the time of year you go, you will need to be there early to make sure you have a seat, but again technically no reservations needed. However, that said there is a "Fantasmic Dinner Package" where you make a dinner ressie at MGM (can't remember which restaurants) and have special seating in the amphitheatre.

Hope this helps

The Magic Kingdom was so crowded for the first showing of Wishes that, 2 hours ahead of time, many of the best viewing spots were already filled. The family in front of me had been waiting (in a very prime location) since noon! When you plan for Disney events, time takes on a new meaning; 'arrive early' can mean 'arrive 2 hours early', so plan accordingly.

Fantasmic does have a special viewing area for Dinner Package holders, but be aware that everyone in your party will be required to order a full meal at the restaurant. Another option is to get in line and have one person in your party stop at Sunset Ranch Market (an area just outside the Fantasmic ampitheater that has various counter service stands) and pick up dinner there. You can eat while waiting in line, which takes up some of the time you'll spend waiting. There IS food inside the theater but it is very limited.

Enjoy!
