Fantasmic Viewing Spot Question

Hi All! I am wondering if I read this information here or have the wrong site. I think I remember reading a thread that talked about a little known viewing spot for Fantasmic. It described it as being behind a pole that appeared to block the view but what only a few folks knew was that the pole was raised for the show. This provided an unobstructed showing for the informed guest. I would love any info anyone might have since a very good friend of mine will be in the park next week and I would love to share the info with her. Thanks in advance for all your help!

yep, we were there last night and while every other area was crowded, we went right behind the speaker/light box area in the middle, and when it rose up we had an awesome view of the show that we didnt have to wait an hour for a good spot :thumbsup2

It's hard to describe it, but they'll see it- I think there are 3 different ones. and they always get raised up, so there's only a fairly sized silver pole in the middle:thumbsup2

We are going to disneyland Feb 27 - Mar 14, we are spending a week at Disneyland and a week in San Deigo, my question is if the Fantasmic Show and desert is worth the money? there is 6 of us going and at $55.00 a ticket that is alot of money. Is Disneyland going to be that busy during the week that we should really think of doing the desert?

There are giant light towers that are used during Fantasmic! Prior to the show, one of these towers is NOT at its fullest height. Therefore, it appears to be an awful spot to watch the show. However, shortly before the show starts, it will be lifted WAAAAY up into the air (maybe 20 ft up??). This clears the view with the exception of the pole the hholds the tower, creating a great place to watch the show that those who aren't "in the know" would never realize. ;)

Ron, the Fantasmic! dessert package allows you a chair to sit in within the reserved area, a dessert box filled with delicious treats, cheese and crackers, and fruit, and coffee, hot chocolate, sodas, water, etc... and are served by Cast Members.

It is $59 for adults and $49 for kids.

Is it worth it? That's a tough question to answer and I think it depends on what you want to spend your money on and what is important to you when viewing Fantasmic!

thank you so much for the advice, I think the first night we will try the light post and then go from there.

thank you again

Ron

Yes, there are 3 light posts, and you would stand behind the middle light post.

You would be standing behind the show's director (3 or 4 people sit there) and the control console (sound board). Like Disney Dreams mentioned, be sure to move away from the light pole, as it would partially block your view if you're directly behind it. I think they will raise the "middle" lights approximately 10 minutes before the show starts.

We stood there in early August 2007, on a Tuesday night. Fantasmic was jam-packed, but we still managed to get a spot there just 30 minutes before the first show started.

HTH :goodvibes

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I knew the answer was just a question away!!! I will let them know what to look for!

It's actually an awesome spot. People will look at you like you're crazy. Be cafeful because as soon as the pole goes up, everyone realizes what's going on and will jump to the spot.
