Just seen on Touring plans that Fantasmic will be back to nightly shows for 6 July through 30 September (except 3 dates) - so good news for all going over the summer :thumbsup2

We have actually book MM F! package this time to make sure we could see the show without a long wait so it will interesting to see what the nightly shows do the the crowd levels/wait times.

Thanks :). Hoepfully we wont have to wait 70 minutes like last september :lmao: Didnt book the dinner package this year either so hopefully this will reduce wait times :goodvibes .

thats great news :thumbsup2

Great news! It's one of our must dos and still brings a wee tear to our eyes (first saw it in January 1997:thumbsup2)......of course they knew we arriving on the 7th July :lmao:

That is good news. I hope the decide to do 2 shows some nights again, we have always gone to the second show but this year we have a mega early F! Dining reservation so would be good to be able to cancel that!

I just saw this on Touring plans too and had headed over to pass on the good news!! I am really happy as it hopefully means that crowds will be less and I keep hold of 4 kids without worrying about losing one :goodvibes:goodvibes

I think I may just have to take them twice just to make up for the fact my dd has never seen it!!!

That is good news - not only for those that want to see it without having to book the dinner package but also for the fact it will help with crowd levels.
Days when it was showing were always way busier than the days when it wasn't so hopefully this will sort out this 'problem'

It has a huge impact on crowds. The night we went for Fantasmic, that was ALL we went for. We did not want to be in that park at all - and that was supposedly slower season. We went into the show and headed right for the exit when we got out. Awful! If it shows signs of improvement with the extra nights we may go and see it again but my overview was it is a great show, must see once, but not worth waiting an hour for.

i checked disney.com, and sure enough - Fantasmic shows up every single night when we're there...
this is a change, because when i set our schedule, it was only listed as being on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday....and i planned our schedule accordingly (i wanted us at DHS on the days with no Fantasmic - i figured the crowds would be lighter...)

interestingly, the Fantasmic dinner package hasn't been updated yet...it still only shows Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday...(at least as of last night)
when i tried to reserve one of the other days, i got a notice saying to call the Disney dine number for assistance...

I wonder if this may have had something to do with the problems reported recently with trying to make F! reservations online

I was just about to ask about this. I was trying to see if I could change the evening of out F! Dining package but with no luck!

Has anyone tried again today? Is it working again? :confused3

i just tried - got the following notice:

Sorry, we are temporarily unable to make online reservations for the Fantasmic! Dinner Package. Please try again later or call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 for reservations. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Yeah same message I got. Oh well, I'll keep trying!

if you really want the package, it might be best to call disney dining, in case it fills up before the site starts working again..

This is good news - especially as this year we have decided not to do the package - hoping for slightly lower crowds - but still hoping for a couple of later showings would prefer this really.

Brilliant news so excited! I was gutted at Christmas as we didn't get to see it :( We went to the park on Fantasmic night and they were queuing all the way down the Boulevard over 2 hours before we thought oh well we will try later showing that night and do some rides but all the rides had around 120mins plus for them we ended up hopping over to Epcot instead. :dance3:

This seemed to be the norm on the days they showed Fantasmic.
I am sure they had good reasons for limiting it to a couple of shows per week, but in my opinion it had a detrimental effect on the whole park - especially in the second half of the day. Hopefully they will now keep it daily - but I doubt it somehow.

It was 100% budget related! All the cutbacks are I think. Perhaps there will be something good that comes of this 'trial'. :) Even if they were to put it on 4 nights a week in off season it would make such a difference, especially for those who take short 3 day trips and risk the chance of missing it.
