FANTASMIC! Tickets with Dining Plan

I've seen a couple of ADR posts where people mention Fantasmic! reservations.

Can you get a reservation at one of the TS restaurants at Hollywood Studios with your dining plan and get the special Fantasmic tickets that come with the package?

Fantasmic isn't a ticketed show. What the package does is get you a pass for reserved seating. You still have to get there some time before the show starts, because when it gets closer to showtime they'll start filling up the section that was reserved.

Not all TS restaurants have the package - only Hollywood & Vine, Mama Melrose and Brown Derby. You can reserve the package and pay with the dining plan. Brown Derby costs 2 credits per person, the others cost 1.

Last time we did Fantasmic, we did it with reserved seating - totally worth it! You are still getting there early, but you have great seats without worry!

I recommend Brown Derby for the dinner, it was delicious and the staff was very accommodating, even making us something special not off the menu

We did the Fantasmic Dining Experience in October. We had a great meal at Brown Derby and got good seats for Fantasmic (got there early, of course). The show was scheduled to begin at 7:30. At precisely 7:30, the skies opened up and it proceeded to rain torentially; the show was cancelled. So we certainly didn't get our money's worth, but that was just the way it goes. I don't know if I would book the experience again because of that.

One more question, The fantasmic package contains an appetizer and dessert according to the passporter. Does this hold true with a table service credit too??

No, same price - 1 or 2 credits depending on which restaurant you pick.

When you book, you have to leave a credit card number. If you do not make the reservation, you will be charged about $10.00 per person.

I think you can cancel 48 hours in advance to avoid paying the penalty.
