Fantasmic Thread!

I am surprised there is no Fantasmic on December 31st. Last time I went for New Years there were 3 showings. The normal 9 & 1030 and then a showing at 12:30 after the midnight fireworks. This was more than 15 years ago though.

I'm looking to see Fantasmic! on Friday Feb 7 or Saturday Feb 8 (or both). Blue Bayou doesn't seem like an option anymore. We tend to like fancier meals. Would Cafe Orleans or River Belle Terrace make more sense for us? Also, am I correct that Cafe Orleans is a gamble for Fantasmic? My reading of the website makes it sound like I book a regular reservation then ask for Fantasmic when checking in.

Personally, I think Cafe Orleans would be a nicer meal and experience.

How to Book

  • Let your Café Orleans host or server know you would like the Fantasmic! Premium Dining Package. You can make a reservation to dine online or using the app, but reservations for the dining package must be made in person. Availability is limited.

Thank you. I was reading "in-person" to mean in the Park at Cafe Orleans, but maybe it means over the phone? I guess I'll call and ask, especially since LKing confirms my leaning towards Cafe Orleans too.

I think it just means to ask your server when you dine. That is how it works for WoC.

F! Packages offered on Friday February 7th.
Remember Cafe Orleans packages require their own reservation for lunch or dinner through Disneyland Dining and inform your server in person at the restaurant that you want the F! dining package and voucher. The CO F! Packages are on a first come first serve basis at the restaurant so I recommend going for lunch.

Who do you call and ask?

I thought Disney cut the Dinning Line (714-781-DINE) post pandemic unless referring to general Disney Guest Services main park phone number

In person at the restuarant Cafe Orleans. No dining number - you can call guest services but I think they will tell you the same thing.

So I did River Belle for Feb 7.
We did lunch, so should I goto the restaurant in the morning and ask about he upgrade.?

They seem like you are changing your eating time? Or is it just seating at that time.

I have a bad back and it would be much better to sit in a seat with a lesser view for me.

What upgrade are you looking for? The Riverbelle has 2 dinning options for Fantasmic and both are separate from the regular reservations. Their is the standard package where you dine before the show and are giving "tickets" for the reserved section along the rivers edge. And then their is the premium where you sit on the patio for dinner and then stay to watch the show. If you booked lunch then you got the standard and they will be unlikely to accommodate you at the premium dinner seating.
