Fantasmic! Superthread - Or Everything You Need To Know About Fantasmic at Disneyland

Could anyone please confirm the reservation number? All the forum and discussion boards state a different number to the one Disney have on their site.
(714) 781 7469 on the Disney site and (714) 781 4400 on all the boards.

Has it changed recently and just hasn't been updated on the boards?

7469 (SHOW) is correct. 4400 is from long ago. It is still a Disneyland extension, but not the one you want to call for Fantasmic! reservations.

Can someone confirm what time we can call in for reservations? Thanks!

To those who have done the dessert seating...... I see you are seated right behind a railing. Does that railing block any of the view when seated? It will just be me and my 13 year old daughter.

We did not have any issues with the railing as far as viewing went.
I made sure to get there early for a front row spot though.

No, not really. The bigger issue, depending on which seat you get, are the support structures for the railing. They can block your view to the sides a little.

The bottom line is Disney does this because the view is pretty good. They do not want to set this up and have a bunch of things blocking your view. So overall the view is good. Also if you are in the back row you can stand up.

Thanks to both of you. I tried to talk my daughter into the back row so we could sit the entire time we waited, then stand if we had issues with seeing. So far she really doesn't want to. So I suppose we'll just bite the bullet and get there really early. We have skipped F! on every other trip to DLR just because of the hassle factor and because we didn't have time to devote to a wait. So we're gonna go big or go home this time! :)

If we line up at 6 on Sunday 12/8, would that be enough to get a front row? It's a CP night in the park.

I'm really looking forward to photographing this show!

Typically 6PM queueing for F! dessert is plenty of time to get a front row seat when they issue seat assignments at 8PM. Also you only need one person in the queue.

Thanks! It's just my daughter and myself this time, so not a lot either of us wants to go off and do. But I might have her hold a spot while I get snacks, or let her run and use the restroom or something.

Let me ask this though. I had thought about doing this Friday the 6th but we are doing the afternoon holiday tour that day with reserved seating for the 5:30 parade. If we got in line for seat assignments as late as 6:30 on a busy Friday night, do you think we'd have trouble getting the front row?

Someone else will need to answer this. I have done F! dessert twice and never lined up early. 7:45 both times.

When I last did F! Dessert, it was July 2nd this year. I got there at 6:30, and there were two parties waiting in front of me. I think you should be fine getting there as late as 6:30.

No problem. Thanks for your quick reply!

Thanks for that. I'm still considering that as an option and will chat with my daughter about it when she's home.

I would love if I could totally avoid DL all weekend because of CP but I'm still going to have to venture over at some point just because I want to see the parade in daylight and at night.

Does anyone have a picture of what all comes in the dessert box now?

We have never seen Fantasmic.. Not sure why but we always skip it. When we go in 2 weeks, we will definitely be seeing it!

Does anyone know if the "snow" falls in the seated area after the holiday fireworks?

I got the reserved seating for F! today for exactly one month from now. The CM on the phone said that check in was at 8pm and that we would be let to pick our seat at 8:30pm. He also said that tickets for the show should be picked up at City Hall. I'm assuming this is something new? You never know, of course.....so I was just wondering what others have done who went to this show recently? This is our first trip to DLR and we're really looking forward to experiencing the West Coast Disney Parks.

I'm not sure which part you're referring to as being new. Tickets are indeed picked up at city hall during the day (unless you are staying on site and book through vacation planning in which case they will be waiting for you when you check in to the hotel).

For seating, the info is a little off or perhaps wasn't communicated clearly. Seat selection occurs at 8pm (but people begin to line up for seat selection at 6:30 or so). For a 9pm show, the seating area itself will open at 8:30 for you to sit in the seats you selected at 8pm, get your dessert box, coffee, hot chocolate etc.

Hi, ksromack!
I guess we may meet at F! check-in! Are you going to the first showing, or the second? :)
