For a 7:00 p.m. show on a Wednesday in early February (supposed to be slow day in a slow season) what time should we arrive for back row seating in the center section?

We prefer not to stand in line very long due to one guest having a knee problem. I have been told that those in the front of the line are requested by the CMs to move over to the left to make room for those coming in behind them? Any truth to this, and, if so, should we try to be in the middle of the throng?

Thanks for any tricks/suggestions.

Sit close the the exits, we were at the very end of the theatre and it took a long time to get out. If you are close to the exits you can leave quickly and not wait in line to file out.

We were there in mid May and chose not to spend forever in line. We got there about 30 minutes before the 7pm show and had perfect middle seats-fairly high up which was better for exiting! We did notice that people were trying to sit in the middle and cm's were making them move all the way down. So...in my experience it would not have been worth it to wait in a huge line. Even as close as we were to the exits..it takes awhile to get out. :)

The very back row of the theater seating is for wheelchairs/ecvs and special needs. There are empty spaces for the wheelchairs to park with one or two seats next to each wheelchair space. The row right ahead of the back row is reserved for the rest of their party to sit in front of them.
More people want to sit toward the front than toward the back, so (at least the times we've gone) there has been more "competition" for the farther forward seats.

People hear about a 1 hour wait for the show and picture standing in line for an hour, but usually you don't spend much time standing in line (unless there are 2 shows and you are going to the second show). They usually open up for seating at least an hour before the show begins. If you arrive before they open, you will be waiting in line until they start seating. Once they open up, it's pretty much a steady stream of people walking in and getting seated.

You'll have more freedom in your seating selection if you are at the end of the seating instead of the beginning. At the beginning, the CMs are adamant in following their "orders" about getting the pattern started and will insist you move as they direct.
Just before the show, you can pick out a few seats anywhere and plop down. In Feb., capacity shouldn't be a problem. As far as exiting, you can just sit an extra 5 minutes while the bulk of the crowd moves out, then take your time.
It's an awesome show--you will enjoy it from any vantage point.

Thanks to all for your comments. I made a PS to insure we got to the show, but my own doubts have now been confirmed. Now, if I can just explain that to everyone else! - or maybe not. After all, they DID put me in charge! :p
