Fantasmic seating is terrible!

So is Blue Bayou the only restaurant that offers the cushions when you purchase the Fantasmic Dinner Package? Trying to figure out what to do for our upcoming (first) trip to DL. My kids are spoiled with the stadium seating at WDW and I will really need to make sure we don't have to stand during the show or else there will be a mutiny!

Yes, only BB package offers the cushions. However RBT has seating as well, you could just bring your own cushion/blanket. The yellow FP section seems to have seating as well, but it is very limited and you will need to be among the first let in to get it.

If you are concerned about standing during a show, you should know that WOC is standing only, even if you have a dining package. I really hate it, to be honest. I am not very tall so I miss a lot. However I haven't seen many complaints from those who saw Fantasmic! standing, it seems to be okay.

I'm short too, so I'm not looking forward to having to stand for WOC. Also, my feet are usually killing me after a long day touring the parks, and standing in one spot for a long time really hurts my lower back, so I'm concerned about those things as well.

I am surprised that Disney isn't selling the cushions at a cart or kiosk.....they would make a bundle from people who aren't prepared with blankets and don't like sitting on the bare ground. I have a Mickey Mouse sarong that folds up into almost nothing that I keep in my backpack for parade seating. I like having a "boundary" around me and it helps save a spot when my daughter or I have to run to the bathroom or grab a quick snack.

Regarding the WOC standing situation.... I'm hoping that the novelty of something new will prevent the familial gripes. As much as I'm looking forward to seeing WOC I just can't believe that it's standing-room only. I know DL space is a a premium, but it just seems absurd. Guess I'm very spoiled. I have back issues so it's gonna be a challenge to stand in one place for that long, but I'm determined to see WOC.

You can probably tell a WOC Cast Member or City Hall that you have a legitimate problem standing and they may help you out.
I would just recommend getting to the WOC viewing area early as those bench seats tend to fill up fast.

This is a good idea about the sarong. I have a bunch that I got free at Hilo Hatties in Hawaii, I'm going to pack this for the next time I'm there.

Ok, so help me out guys, I'm confused. If I want to see F! I can either wait 1 hour before the show or get a FastPass, right? But how do I get it? And if I do, will I be able to get more FastPasses for the rest of the day? Is it a different kind of FastPass? Also, will I see F! if I go to Disneyland when Mickey's Halloween Party is taking place? (Sorry for asking way to much, I haven't been to Disneyland in years! I need help!)

Thank yew~

The bottom line is that you must have a fastpass. You can get it with dining packages or from the kiosks (they are not connected with the other fast passes). The waiting time depends on what kind of fastpass you have, but it's no longer hours like it used to be. It doesn't look like there is a Fantasmic showing during the party, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Perfect! Thanks for the answer! It looks like I'll get a FastPass as soon as I arrive to the park!

Deleted my question and started a new thread. I realized I was hijacking the original post and taking it off track ;)

Wait.....so now to see Fantasmic you HAVE to have a FP? There isn't any ok seating for no FP people? Isn't there a CS restaurant in that area where you could sit & watch with not the best view but at least you are sitting? (I feel like we sat there before to watch F)

Where are the FP distribution kiosks for Fantasmic? I haven't seen it in years (because of the terrible crowding in the past) but want to check it out next time we go.

Correct, you have to have a FP now. To be honest, I'm not sure about the restaurant now - hopefully somebody else can chime in.

As nicolispicoli said, they are on the path between Fantansyland and Big Thunder.
