Fantasmic Returns! July 17th! And the Railroad!

Fantasmic with new Scenes and renovated projection Technology!!!!! Ohhh my GOD!!!!!! Can't wait for my trip in October!

Great news! But boy do I think this will make our trip that weekend super BUSY. We'll be visiting for a short trip starting July 30.

I just saw this on the Disneyland website. I am beyond excited!!! I leave on the 7/18 so, I know what I am doing 7/17!!! :dancer:

Ok I am going to DL for the 1st time in July for 3 nights.
Is the fantastic show the same as the show at Wdw?
Also where is the show?
I definitely want to see WOC and fireworks, because have never seen.
Thanks
Kerri

Fantamsic is shown along the riverfront of New Orleans Square, in front of Pirates of the Caribbean. There isn't a dedicated "theater" like WDW. The show is considered overall superior to WDW's version (except the seating), with a giant dragon and the Columbia sailing ship part of it. Plus new effects and segments to come with it this summer. I'd say it's worth waiting for, maybe even over the fireworks.

The Blue Bayou reservation will only help if it is part of a "dining package" and gets you a separate spot in a designated area along the riverfront (like at WDW for the packages). Blue Bayou is INSIDE Pirates of the Caribbean and has no river/Fantasmic view, only a view of the beginning of the Pirates ride.

People are eagerly awaiting/hoping for dining package info to be released on the DL website to book. You'll probably see it pop up in this forum when it does become available.

Thanks!! I will be on the lookout for that. I think they do the parade viewing but we are not big parade people. I guess I am not a stand around in one spot waiting kind a girl LOL. But I have to see it :-)
Will the show be same time as WOC?
Thanks
Kerri

Unfortunately, the dining packages are not starting until December 12 (can be booked on November 12).

Bummer! We're going in September 12-15 and hubby really wants to see F! I guess we'll have to do the regular FP. How does that work, we've only done the dining package. Will we need to get one first thing in the AM? I wonder if they will still be going quickly on September.

Edit - Glad to see that this was an old article!

I pulled it from that other thread. So, maybe there is still hope that the dining package or dessert party come backs soon!!!
Probably not until after Aug 20 though, because they still have MSEP dining packages going on.
