We are going to be at DL over Christmas 12/21-12/28. Just wondering what you think of doing the Reserved Seating for Fantasmic? I know it is really expensive, but do you think it is worth it? Especially during this crowded time?

Thanks
Robin

I thought it was worth it I did it back in may. Sure it is expensive but not fighting people was great.

I have thought about doing it MANY times, but have never brought myself to pay up the money. Just a thought to the "other perspective":

There is something fun about sharing a delicious brownie from Main Street while crowding in with other excited park guests to see THE show as the excitement fills the air and the little kids faces show what we all feel.

I think that experience (which I have had many times) is what has kept me from isolating myself from the energy to watch Fantasmic in the Reserved Seating Area.

I wish I had gone with my first instinct and bought the reserved seating for our trip back in July. It was sooo crowded in that area that it made it to unpleasant for us to just find a little spot and wait. I didn't want to sacrifice a few hours just to stake out a good spot for viewing so the end result was we never got to see it. Next time I will without fail but tickets for it if we go at a busy time again. That's my 2 cents.

I've never had these tickets but I do think that if we were going at a very busy time (which you will be) then it would be worth it. For us we were there so much last year that the F! show (altho my fave) was not as high a priority, we did watch it quite a few times but we always felt that if we didn't get to see it this trip we would see it next trip. We did make sure to see it on our last trip and I wish I had just got the reserved seats for that one.

How many people are you going with? I went in June with my mom and we did it. It was worth it although had we gone with anymore people than just the two of us, it might not have been worth it because it is pricey.

We stood in line for quite a while to ensure we had the best seats there was. It was amazing! The tray of desserts that they give you is soooo delicious. Different types of cheese and crackers and little truffles and cakes! Chocolate covered strawberries and edible spoons! They also had a good selections of soda, water, coffee and tea. It was a good way to end a busy day. Just sit down and relax and be able to sprawl a bit!

I Highly reccomend it. I was in the same boat as you trying to decide last year if I should or not. We ended up doing it and it was well worth it. I probably wouldn't spring for it though unless it was during the Christmas time. Reason being is not only do you get awesome reserved seats with a bunch of yummy goodies but afterwards you can stay there and see the fire works AND it snows right on you! It was so magical. I can post pics if you would like :)

What's the number to get resereved seating?

we did it during our last trip in December.... and we are so glad we did... with a very active 4 year old we knew that waiting 2 plus hours for a good seat would be out of the question... The experience was well worth the cost and we would do it again!

One month in advance, i.e. if you want seating on Dec. 12th, you'd want to call November 12th. The number is (714) 781-4400, opens at 8 a.m. Pacific time. It used to fill up fast, but that doesn't seem to be the case any more, so I doubt you have to worry about calling right at 8 a.m. People have called 2 weeks before and gotten seats. That said, I'd still try to call on the one-month day.

Cost is $59 for adults, $49 for kids (3-9) under 3 are free (if they're lap sitters).

Forgive me is these are big or something. I have never posted pics.I didn't take any of the Fantasmic itself but these are taken from the private seating area. As you can see great spot for the fireworks and the snow. The other thing I highly reccomend is the Holiday tour. They take you around to diffrent spots and tell some christmas magic tales, then you go on haunted mansion and its a small world. At the end you get a ginger bread man, hot chocolate and private front row seating for the Christmas parade. The characters seemed to stop and interact more in this area.

Im right there with you on that one Tinkerbell...I had a blast when I did the holiday tour ah and dont forget the special pin:goodvibes ...its so cute...the one I got was a tinkerbell in her santa costume...as far as fantasmic seating...Ive done it several times and I love it...I did it when they used to do it up in the gallery and then where it is now...You used to have a choice...balcony seating or Riverside Seating...the riverside seating was like $10 cheaper because in the balcony everything was laid out like a buffet and the riverside seating it was a box...if you can afford to do it I would recommend strongly for you to:goodvibes

Will the Fantasmic priority seating be available next year? For some reason, I thought it was not.

I am hoping it is because that ws going to be our one big "splurge" for our vacation. We missed out on Fantasmic the last time we were at Disneyland, and were planning on doing the whole priority seating thing next year.

F! is getting some makeovers done; the first part is this fall when it is down for refurb; then it goes down again in January and I believe they are replacing the water screens and the projectors for them? It's supposed to make a huge difference in their clarity. Anyway, I forgot how long it will be down in the late fall/spring, but I think it's a few months. So that may be why you're not hearing about reserved seating for F! for early next year. I don't know why they wouldn't continue it, though; it seems very popular.

Thank you!! We are going at the end of March, so hopefully it will be up!!
:)
