Fantasmic question

I haven't tried to watch fantasmic in years. If we used to want a really good seat we did the dessert seating but obviously that no longer exists. My question is how does this work now if you don't want to do a meal. Do you get a fp like for woc? I heard you have to stand but my mom is disabled and will have a scooter. Is there a separate section for disabled?

We are going in Nov and would like to see it but not really sure how it all works now. If we don't want to stand in the designated sections can you stand in the back over by like say Pirates or the clam chowder place? I know one year (when it was the reg show) we sat on the bricks in front of haunted mansion. Just kind of wondering how it all works.

TIA for any info.

You can get a FP. They're going fairly quickly so far. They're mostly for standing-room only, although if you get there early enough people have reported very limited seated areas available.

I've seen a section full of wheelchairs, so I'm guessing your mom could go there, but I'm not entirely sure how that works.

Yea we were thinking about doing one of the dinning options but they are all so expensive esp when you have to stand anyway. I guess we will just see what happens when we go. Thanks

I believe the dining packages (except Hungry Bear) are seated, but its sitting on the ground. No chairs. We did the River Belle Terrace Premium package and we sat and watched from our tables so I didn't view from a regular dining pkg seating area but I'm pretty sure they are seated on the ground. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

Hungry Bear FP area is also seated on the ground. I have seen guests in wheelchairs and ECVs in the very back row of their dining FP sections (BB, RBT, and HB). You ask the CMs about this when you check in for your section.

Thanks for clarifying, I wasn't sure on that one but I had read if the Hungry Bear section is full they will make you stand. I just assumed that it's always full!

I guess my real question is if you are not in a designated seating or standing area can you "stand" somewhere else or will they make you move along? In other words back in the day we could walk by and stand in the back by Pirates or Cafe Orleans etc just wondering if that is still true. I can't sit on the ground or even stand for very long any more and that is one of the reasons we hadn't done fantasmic in quite a while but I know even with WOC you can kind of stand in the back over by Ariel or whatever. Just trying to figure out if it is possible to see it without having a FP or dinning.

They mark viewing areas with either tape on the ground or ropes and you have to be within one of those areas to be able to watch the show. If you're in one of the walkways, they will ask you to keep moving. A couple of weekends ago, the bridge near Pirates has a standby viewing area (marked with ropes), the rest of the bridge is a walkway. The walkway near Cafe Orleans (running along the patio area) is one of the main thoroughfares through NOS during F!, so they probably won't let you stand back there.

I know there are a lot of threads/posts on this subject. Is there a map or list of helpful hints on how to do Fantasmic without the dining package? I know the show just came back so it might be too early for someone to have compiled that info.

Someone posted in another thread that they recently watched F! from the planters in front of HM. Not a great view by their own admission, but at least they could sit on the planters or stand by them without any wait.

Yea that is what we did in the past and I was thinking of that again. I was just wondering if they would allow that. Guess we will have to see. :)
