Can you get the Fantasmic Pkg using the Dining Plan? If so, which restaurants are worth 1 and which worth 2?

Is there a list somewhere that shows which restaurants take 2 of your credits?

Thanks!
;)

When we were there in September, the Fantasmic package could not be paid for with the dining plan. We had to pay out of pocket.

This may have change since then, though. Maybe someone who has been a little more recently will have more insight.

I just called and got a reservation for the Fantasmic! Pkg using the Dining Plan. There weren't too many choices left, so we chose Hollywood & Vine. Is this restaurant good for dinner? If you do the pkg, do you get guaranteed seats, or do they still fill up and you may not get a seat? How good are the seats that they reserve for the pkg people?

We always do the package and think its well worth it. We go in July so it's always crowded for Fantasmic. Since we don't feel like holding a seat the package just makes sense to us. We've never had a bad seat. The seats are over to the right side of the theatre and they are just fine. We've done all three FDP restaurants. Our favorite is Brown Derby. THis is our first year on the DDP, but we decided to pay out of pocket for this one and save the table service credits. Hollywood and Vine was just standard buffet fare, and our least favorite. We enjoyed Mama Melrose's more, but BD is the best in our opinion.

Yes, you can use the dining plan for the FDP's. We were able to to do this last May at Hollywood & Vine.

We didn't like Hollywood & Vine much, so, this year, we're trying Mama Melrose's & plan to use our dining plan credits.

We love Hollywood and Vine and we're so happy that it's on the DDP now! It takes 1 TS credit per person.

Last May we did H&V without the Fantasmic dinner package because it wasn't on the DDP then. We waited over an hour in a packed crowd and it was so hot. It was much better the times before when we had our little ticket for the reserved area. Just make sure you get to the gate of the gas station during the time stated on your ticket! You still have to get there early, but it beats waiting in line!

HTH,
Susan

I would like to do Mama Melroses' instead of Hollywood & Vine, but they didnt have it available for the day we want. They only had Hollywood & Vine. Do you think I should keep calling in case someone cancels? We are going on a friday night so I expect it to be crowded so I think the package will be the way to go. I think that Mama Melroses menu sounds great. Hollywood & Vine looks like a typical buffet, but if the food is good then we wont be disappointed. What do you think our odds are of getting a reservation if we keep calling?

If you do the FDP at BD and do not use the DDP is the menu still limited? If so, what is the limited menu, I could not find it on Allears website? If you use the DDP and use 2 TS credits then I would think that the menu should not be limited. Can anyone set me stright? Thanks,

I was also thinking that if the menu is not limited at BD then it might be better to pay OOP and have a fixed price then to waste 2 TS credits. What do you think?

TIA,

Loralie
