fantasmic package

I can't decide if we should do the fantasmic package. We are going October 18-22. I like the idea of not having to wait on line for the show but will the line really be that bad considering it's not one of the busiest times of year. Also I don't like how the restaurants only give you a choice of certain foods. What should we do?

Hollywood & Vine is a buffet, so there you can choose what you want. As I understand it, at Brown Derby you get any appetizer, any entree and any dessert for the fixed price. I think at Mama Melrose you get any flatbread to share, family style salad, any entree, then a limited choice of desserts (some say only tiramisu, some say tiramisu or cheesecake, some say they got anythinig they wanted.) Doesn't sound like too many limitations to me. However, if you wanted to eat light (e.g., just a salad and drink, for example) you wouldn't get your money's worth.

Another option is to get counter service and take it into the show. Eat on your lap while you wait for the show to start.

I would recommend Hollywood & Vine, it is a great buffet.

We did the package at Mama Melrose last week. It was fantastic for all of us (4 adults & 3 kids). Everyone found something on the menu they really enjoyed. We got so much food we were all so stuffed.

And the best part was not having to wait on line for the show.

We will never do Fantasmic again without the package.
