Just wondering if everyone thinks the fantasmic package is worth it? We are going to Disney from nov. 10-20th. I didn't know if the crowds would be crazy. Also for the package which restaurant does everyone prefer?

We were there in July so the crowds were likely heavier than they will be in November, however, we booked the Fantasmic dinner package primarily because with the dining plan it didn't cost anything more and it would guarantee that we got to the show. We have been to WDW several times since the start of the Fantasmic show but had never seen it ... either pooped out early and left the park before showtime or in a couple of cases we just weren't (after a long day in the park) up to dealing with the crowds lining up and entering the venue. While most of the stands were full by showtime this year we had a comfortable amount of space (lots of elbow room) and had little difficulty getting out after the show. We also had lots of seating area to choose from and basically were comfortable throughout the evening show. It doesn't cost any more to book the package, it just limits your restaurant choices. We went with H&V which was okay and worked for us as we were wanting a trip with restaurants we hadn't tried before. The food was acceptable ... lots of choices and the service acceptable as well (this is to say that neither was anything to rave about ... or complain about either). I would imagine you could do the show either way in November and be happy with your seats ... I would book it again ... at the end of a day at any park my patience is thin and the "preferred" seating is just a little bit less hassel.

We don't bother with the package during less crowded times but did it last February during President's Week. If you do the package, Hollywood and Vine is pretty good in our opinion. It is a decent buffet. Mama Melrose is just OK - pretty overprices italian food in our opinion but acceptable. We've never down the Brown Derby because the menu just doesn't appeal to DD and the prices don't appeal to DH. The only real drawback to the package is that you will have to eat dinner fairly early. We just skipped lunch and snacked, then ate a fairly large dinner at H&V.

Yes, the Fantasmic package was worth it. Just do not eat at Hollywood and Vine. We were there last week and we did not enjoy the food.
