Fantasmic Package Question!

I know that if you don't want to wait in line for Fantasmic, you need to do the dinner package (we have done this many times). But my question is this:

Fantasmic is only showing one time during my stay, and the day it is on, we are planning on going to the Food and Wine Festival that day, so I am figuring we won't be hungry.

Do you actually have to eat dinner? Or could I make a ressie at Mama Melrose or Brown Derby and just got dessert and coffee?

Any idea on this?

Thank you!

The package is a fixed price for a 3 course meal. You can skip the appetizer and entree but you will need to pay the package price so it would be an expensive way to see Fantasmic.

b-ride is correct...you can go order as little as you want, but you will be paying a fixed price so that will be very expensive dessert & coffee...I think the Mama Melrose package price is like $31.99 per adult or something close to that...Brown Derby is more. And at Hollywood & Vine you'll pay whatever the buffet usual price is...again, close to $30 for an adult.

You do have to specifically book the Fantasmic Dinner Package...not just any reservation at those restaurants. They will take a credit card to hold your reservations.

Is it a fixed menu? Or do you just order off the regular menu? I have never done the FP and we are doing it for the first time in Oct.TIA

Another question about the fantasmic package (i have one for MM on 9/20, I don't recall them taking a credit card for it), are you still able to use the DDP to pay for the meal and if so, is it still 1 credit? Thanks in advance!

If they did not ask for a CC then it is just a dinner ADR, no "F!" package....
And MM is just 1 TS credit meal...................

The FDP does not eliminate the wait for Fantasmic. It does reduce it somewhat, but not nearly as much as it did before they eliminated the separate entrance for FDP guests. Now, you have to line-up with everyone else. The only thing thery do is to hold the reserved section for awhile, before they give-away the seats to the general public.

Reports from other DIS'ers have the wait down to 1 hour rather then the 2-2.5 wait now! So with that known it is worth it.............;)

Hmmm. When I look up my reservation online to confirm and send to email it says that is a fantasmic package.

I don't know the answer to your specific question, but I do know that the Fantasmic! Dinner Package is no longer a fixed price, with the exception of H&V. It's always fixed price because it's a buffet. HBD and MM are a la carte now. When you make an ADR, though, you must specify F!DP and they will take a cc for guarantee.

We arrive in Disney on the 22nd. When I made my reservation for the FDP 90 days ago they told how it all works seperate line all this good stuff but on all the threads its saying they have changed this. Does anyone know whenthis was changed?

Did you happen to give the CM a CC # for something else?

If so maybe they used that for this resie??:confused3
