Fantasmic Package question

I remember reading somewhere that something changed about this but I can't remember what? The website lists the package as "reserved seating" for Fantasmic included. Where are the reserved seats? I think I read that you still have to stand in line with the reserved seats. How does that work?

It is a section that is reserved - not individual seats that are reserved. It is on the right-hand side (as you enter the stadium). I don't think it is the greatest section but it outweights feeling like a single cow in a large herd to me. So I normally book the package. Moo.

You do not have to stand in line. The purpose in the FDP is to avoid standing in the line. You will go in a separate entrance by the front gate and bypass that line.

It is worth it to me to do it to avoid that line and ensure I have a seat.

Several recent visitors have indicated that the "separate entrance" by Oscar's has been done away with and everyone goes in the same entrance. Those with the package are directed to the seats on the right when they enter the theater.

We did this once when they first began to offer it. Our dinner was at the Brown Derby and when we went to our "reserved" seats...it was the seats at the far right section and it was so crowded they were splitting groups and families up in order to squeeze everyone in. A complete disaster that we have never repeated!

I also have read recently that the special entrance was done away with, and that everyone goes in the same way now. I guess the difference would be that you would be "guaranteed" a seat when you walk in with the herd. While there wasn't really a bad seat in house I personally thought the reserved seats were definitely not a "preferred" seating area, just a "reserved" seating area.

We're winging it this time without the package. We'll see how it goes..:confused3

I think they way it is now is that backside entrance isn't used anymore and everyone goes in the long walkway, then the people with the package get in like a 'fasspass' line and get seated before or something.

thats what i remember reading it chan ged to but i could be wrong :p

We were there December 9 and were on the package. I had assumed they would line people up outside the entrance then let everyone in at a certain time before it started so to play it safe we got there at 5:45 for a 7pm show. I was surprised that we were walking right in. The place was nearly empty! I knew my line would be on the right and there was a man there holding up a copy of my reserved ticket. I handed it to him and when we went to our area, another man showed us the two roped off sections and said to sit anywhere in the second section, the one on the left. There were only three people sitting in the whole area! We, of course, walked all the way down and took great seats in the second row. I sat next to the rope because it made it seem like we were closer to the middle of the arena, though I had thought from reading things here that the reserved section was going to be all the way over that you couldn't see but I felt the seats and the experience was great and well worth doing the package.

You don't have to sit in that reserved section if you have the package. You'll know there is a section, if the rest if full, but if you get in and see better seats elsewhere you can sit there.

This is great info- that's what I'll do then- at least then I'm gauranteed a seat either way! Thank you everyone! :goodvibes

When did you get to the theatre? I remember that they warn you to get there 15-20 minutes before the performance after that they open up the reserved seating.
