fantasmic package question

When you book the hollywood and vine fantasmic package do you have to use a credit card or can u book it and cancel later if you chage your mind?

I booked a Fantasmic! dinner with Mama Melrose. They took my CC info to hold the reservation, they said I could cancel anytime before 48 hours without a penalty.

We did the Hollywood & Vine package last September during free dining. They reserve with a CC, but they use the DDP for payment when you eat. I think the CC thing is to charge if you don't show up.
