I have read, in various forums, that the Fantasmic package, has been near impossible to get, at MM. Has anyone been able to book it recently?

I was calling 3x a day to try to get it for Dec 2nd; thought if I got through right after the park hours came out and the packages became available I might get lucky. On the day park hours did come out - at 12:30, no hours out yet; at 5:30 hours had come out and packages for 12/2 were already complete sold out. I even had the CM confirm that in fact the packages had been made available and were actually sold - not just still unavailable. They had in fact all been sold. Oh well. There's only so much I'm willing to do and pay for an event that could be rained out with no substitution.

I could have booked the Fantasmic paxckage, but decided not to. First, the dinner openings are ridiculously early. Second, now that the separate entrance has been eliminated, there isn't much point to the pkge. Third, the food isn't that great-I had lunch there last week, confirming that.
We walked onto the Fantasmic line at 55 minutes before the show and right into a half empty theater. Of course, if you're going at a busier time, you may need to get there earlier.

I did this package a few years ago and was not terribly impressed with the food, and I definitely was not impressed with the reserved seats. We were pretty far back. I guess if you really want to be sure you get in there....

I was able to get one for Nov. 25 at MM, but I'm having doubts about keeping it if I have to line up 1 hr early even with it. We've seen it at Disneyland and are still debating if it's worth all the time and hassle for a 30 minute show.

What, I am now thinking of cancelling mine. I booked my fantasmic package Monday morning (Sept. 7th at 7am eastern time)... there where no options for Mama M, Hollywood n vine and Brown Derby for Tuesday and Thursday Dec 8 & 10. I was able to book for Saturday Dec. 12 (and they only had brown derby, at 4:15 pm, worth two credits!!)
Is it even worth it? My wife will be a first timer, but these fireworks are simply ok for me. :confused3

Not sure myself either BUT we will find out on the 18th!!!!

The Fantasmic show is one of the best in Disney. It is not a fireworks show. It is definitely worth a one hour wait.
