Fantasmic package and dining plan ?

Hello!

I originally booked a room only package, and then later booked the Fantasmic package.

Just today (only 38 days out from my trip) I decided to add the deluxe dining plan. Since I plan on using my dining credits to pay for the Fantasmic package, do I need to call Disney Dining and let them know? Or will I be able to just take care of that all when I check in for my ADR?

When I added the dining plan, it was kind of a hassle--since I was less than 45 days out, the CM basically had to cancel my original room only reservation, credit back my credit card (well, the credit should hit in 7-10 days) and then book a totally new reservation as a package...I'm just worried that I might have to do the same with the Fantasmic Package--since i will now be paying with dining credits instead of OOP?

No you do not have to do anything. The restaurant will just deduct the credit after your meal.

I don't think you have to pay for the entire meal at the time of booking (I remember putting a credit card guarantee for no shows, but not the full amount when I made an ADR earlier this year). Given that, I would just wait until I got to the restaurant to specify how I was going to pay for the meal when the bill came.

I looked up my records from last October. We used a CC to guarantee the ADR and then paid using the DxDP credits.
