Fantasmic, Osborne Lights, & Park Closing

We were planning on going to Disney-MGM Studios on Tuesday, December 6th.

I will be traveling with DW, DS5, and DD4.

We were thinking of getting the Fantasmic Dinner Package.
Eating at 4:30 or 4:45, seeing Fantasmic at 7:00, take about a 30 minute break afterwards to let the crowds go ahead of us, and then go through the Osborne Lights about 8:15.

Then I noticed that the park closes at 8:00.
So, what does that mean for seeing the Osborne Lights after Fantasmic. Do they stop letting people into the Osborne Lights at 8:00 or 8:15 or 8:30 ?

We will also be using Disney Busses, so I guess we would also need to be at the buss stops, no later than 9:00pm.

What do all the Osborne Lights veterans think would be the best plan with kids?

Two other options could be to....
Skip Fantasmic, and see the Osborne Lights while Fantasmic is going on.
Eat at 4:30 with the Fantasmic Dinner Package, see the Osborne Lights around 6:00 and then go to Fantasmic.

When we were there, I believe that they had Fantasmic at the same time as park closing. Afterwards, You will be able to see the lights. As you leave the theater, the path to the Osborne lights will be lined with castmembers. You will be able to get to the NY street but you will not be allowed anywhere else in the park.
