I don't know if it's an option, but you might consider purchasing tickets for either the Tues. or Fri. Halloween party and extending your trip by a day.
We've attended Mickey's Halloween Party at
Disneyland for the past two years. It's tons of fun whether you've got kids or not. Party guests get to enter the park a full 3 hrs before the party's official start time, so if you take advantage of that, you're getting a full 9 hrs. in Disneyland for approx $60 per person. It's the only time adults can enter the park in costume (although you definitely do not have to dress up). The vast majority of the attractions are open (exceptions being Toontown, Storybookland Canal Boats, Mark Twain riverboat and sailing ship Columbia, Tarzan's Treehouse, Main St vehicles... nothing major). The Halloween party atmosphere is set with a special soundtrack, fog, projections, colored lights, inflatable decorations, etc. Since it's a hard ticketed event, attendance is limited. This is such a great perk IMO. When else can to walk right onto Indy 3x in a row? The Halloween Cavalcade is cute and the Halloween Screams fireworks display is AWESOME.
Then you use your park passes to enter the park every day EXCEPT the day of the party. You'll use the party tickets to get in that day (around 4 or 5 pm). You'll then have a day remaining on your passes which you can either use on Sun., Sept 30 or Sat., Oct. 6. to visit the parks and see F!
