We will on be in the park Monday Oct. !st thru Friday Oct 6th. I just found out that friday will be the Halloween party and the park will close at 6:00 to us. If Fantasmic is only on the weekends in the fall I am going to miss it again:( This is will be my 3rd time to DL and have yet to see Fantasmic. I started planning this trip back in March before I knew what would be going on in the parks.

last year fantasmic WAS scheduled on the Thursday before Columbus Day weekend, so at least there is hope.

In case you weren't aware, there is also a Halloween party in Tuesdat the 2nd. Can you extend your trip to start Sunday to check it out?

I don't know if it's an option, but you might consider purchasing tickets for either the Tues. or Fri. Halloween party and extending your trip by a day.

We've attended Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland for the past two years. It's tons of fun whether you've got kids or not. Party guests get to enter the park a full 3 hrs before the party's official start time, so if you take advantage of that, you're getting a full 9 hrs. in Disneyland for approx $60 per person. It's the only time adults can enter the park in costume (although you definitely do not have to dress up). The vast majority of the attractions are open (exceptions being Toontown, Storybookland Canal Boats, Mark Twain riverboat and sailing ship Columbia, Tarzan's Treehouse, Main St vehicles... nothing major). The Halloween party atmosphere is set with a special soundtrack, fog, projections, colored lights, inflatable decorations, etc. Since it's a hard ticketed event, attendance is limited. This is such a great perk IMO. When else can to walk right onto Indy 3x in a row? The Halloween Cavalcade is cute and the Halloween Screams fireworks display is AWESOME.

Then you use your park passes to enter the park every day EXCEPT the day of the party. You'll use the party tickets to get in that day (around 4 or 5 pm). You'll then have a day remaining on your passes which you can either use on Sun., Sept 30 or Sat., Oct. 6. to visit the parks and see F! :goodvibes

This is pretty typical of off-season. To only have Fantasmic on weekends. But the kicker is that in October the parks are closed on Friday evening for the Halloween parties.

No F! on Fridays. But it is shown every Saturday & Sunday. And if last year is any indication it will be shown the Thursdays before & after Columbus Day & on Columbus Day Monday.

We ran into the same problem and changed our plans to go to DL on Saturday to see F! Hopefully the crowds won't make me too crazy. I'm already mentally gearing myself up.
