Fantasmic; on the go meal or Blue Bayou?

Anyone done either one? Which would you recommend? Or either?

We were looking at doing the on the go meal that's offered at Aladdin's Oasis. Do you reserve that ahead of time like you would a table service meal? Or is it just first come first served?

Also, I know you can do dining reservations online 60 days out; what time in the morning can you start making reservations?

You can make a reservation:

Sometime in the wee hours of the morning. I know it's after midnight, but before 6:00 am (pacific time). Mostly folks don't worry about it because there is almost nothing that you need to make a reservation for right when the system rolls to the new day. Most places will have plenty of reservation times until the date is much closer (a week or so out). If you wait until the non-dawn hours of the morning on your 60-day, you should be fine. The only time when it might matter is if you're looking to make a reservation for a special event meal, but those don't happen often.

March still hasn't opened for Fantasmic booking. The last cast member I spoke with said no dates beyond February are available and he didn't know why. It's well within 60 days, so I'm starting to wonder if they're stopping it, refurbing it, or just dropping the ball.

We so enjoyed our trip to BB on 12/28/14. I must confess, when I originally made the reservations I wasn't all that crazy about dining at BB. In all our years of going to DL we had never had the desire to dine there and I was only buying the dining package because my Mother so loves fantasmic! Boy was I surprised. We LOVED everything about the experience. The meal was fantastic and I don't think it was overpriced in comparison with the cost of food in the park. With 9 of us, I think we tried everything they offered and everyone was happy. It was so relaxing to sit and have a nice diner and then just peacefully go over and watch the show. They are holding firm about not letting people line up early and I loved that. This was by far the busiest time we have ever been to the parks the dining package/fast pass system made for a much more comfortable viewing of the show.

I was able to make reservations at 4:15 am Mountain time (I was up anyhow)....
