Fantasmic on a night with extra magic hours?

Planning a last minute trip for my family! My older two children are going to Europe with my parents, so we are taking the younger two (boys ages 9 and 11) to Disney! We literally just decided on this a few days ago-and we are leaving in less than 2 weeks! Normally I plan months in advance!

I'm trying to figure out the best night for us to see Fantasmic. Our park days will be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with Monday having evening EMH hours for Hollywood Studios. Is seeing Fantasmic on a night with EMH a good idea or a bad idea--and does it matter which show (the 9 pm or 10:30 pm?) For instance, if we see the 9 pm show--we still have a few hours in the park after. Will the lines still be so long that we really won't get any rides in?

If we don't see it Monday night, we will probably plan to see it Tuesday night (when HS closes at 10 pm)

Back in December we went to DHS on an EMH night. We loved it! We had hopped from a day at MK. EMH was 8-10pm. We ate dinner at 50's Prime Time,
saw the first Fantasmic show (used a 4th FP for this just because) and then went to see Osborne Lights. We weren't really there for rides that night as we had another day planned there. We really enjoyed being in that park later on as we had never done evening EMH there before.
We thought the same way you did about seeing the earlier show and then doing other things in the later hours. (Our boys were 12 & 10 at the time)

Last minute vacations are a blast....The shortest I've planned at Disney was 3 weeks in advance so you beat me!
Have a great trip!
