Fantasmic - no Mark Twain finale?

Just got back from a 5-day trip with my 7-year old niece. Despite heat and crowds, we had an amazing trip! On Thursday we watched the first Fantasmic show from the Blue Bayou section and I was sad when my favorite part of the show - the characters all waving from the Mark Twain - was replaced by a much less thrilling finale from the island instead. I’m hoping this isn’t the new ending but rather an alternate when the boat isn’t running or something? (Although it was running during the day.)

just a maintenance issue. normally it is still in the show.

must be just an issue with the boat that day, I saw Fantasmic on June 20 2018 and that part was defiantly in it, I took a photo

This happens under any of the following conditions:

• Mark Twain is under refurbishment
• Weather conditions have made it unsafe to load the characters on to the Twain
• Any of the major characters were running late and thus people couldn't get loaded on at the right time.
• There are other conditions that would make using the Twain unsafe.

I was there the same night with the Hungry Bear Fantasmic package and we were disappointed in the finale as well!

That's a bummer!

We've seen several show elements missing over our last two views. At one, the only princess float/raft that showed up was Rapunzel/Flynn (the others were all in the finale, so I assume it was an issue with the rafts, not the characters). The other, King Louie was gone and there was no magic carpet.

Stuff happens, but the Mark Twain missing would be a bummer!

Definitely disappointing! We caught the last 5 or so minutes last night as we prepared to grab a spot to view the fireworks/projections. Everyone was out on the Mark Twain!
