Fantasmic meal package?

Is there a fantasmic dinner package and can you use it on the dining plan?

Yes and yes. it is listed with regular dining res ( at least mine was) under fantamstic and than you choose which of three rest. you want to dine at.

In addition to the above info, Mama Melrose and H&V are 1 TS credit, Brown Derby is 2 TS credits. Also, appetizer is included.

There is no way I would eat dinner and not use a Fantasmic package if it is available. You get a nice dinner with an extra appetizer, plus you get guaranteed seats for the show. Saves time, it is a quiet break in the afternoon and you aren't out more than a regular meal.

Mama Melrose is easily the best option here (in my opinion) if available.

It's one of the more consistent 1credit table service locations in any of the parks.

Just a note that you do not have to do "dinner". They also offer a lunch package- which is what we usually do. When Fantasmic! is only showing at 6:30, it is easier for us to do the lunch package and not have to rush through dinner.

Be aware that when you get the Fantasmic! Dining Package, you get the worst seats possible reserved for you all the way on the right side. The music/narration does not match up at all. If this doesn't bother you, then awesome...but I'm a sound/film editor and when things don't line up correctly it drives me up the wall. PLUS they still ask you to get there 35 minutes before the show. My opinion: not worth it at all. Just my two cents.

This is not true anymore. The dining package reserved seats are now in the center Mickey section- the best seats in the house. This started in Oct 2012.

We did Brown Derby for the Fantasmic Package and loved it... but it was a 2 credit meal...

Yes! Fant Dining package gets the best seating location!! We saw the area roped off for the diners when we were there on New Year's Day! Even with standing room only crowds, the diners still had the priority center seating.

DISers on the Restaurant Board continually confirm the Sorcerer Mickey seating!

Agree with Mama Melrose being the best pick. I pay oop because I have TIW and they don't accept that for the F!, still worth it to me! And, I told them that my DD was 10 but would probably prefer ordering from the kids menu... They were fine with that and only charged me te kids package price (huge savings). I think most place will do that for you if it's not a buffet.

I can confirm this as well. We just did it this past Friday. Sat in the Mickey section, five rows from the front, and they never filled in the empty space around us, even though guests were standing in the back....

The F. dining package is available for lunch at Mama Melrose and HBD. You need to select the F. dining package first, then select the restaurant and which meal you want. Wheelchairs are accommodated on the top row of the amphitheatre, with additional seating for their party on the row in front of them.
