Right now the calendar shows fantasmic playing through to the end of holiday time (January 8th) on the next weekend Fantasmic isn't showing.

I haven't been to DL in January in a few years, does Fantasmic typically stop during this time? Or is it maybe not showing because the sailing ship Columbia will be down for a refurb?

Just curious since I was debating booking the dessert package again.

The official calendar fills up slowly. So when you look to the distant side of it's reach, don't expect it to show everything. Give it a couple weeks and let the details fill in.

The Columbia will be down for a refurb, so once the holiday season is over, Fantasmic will be dark. Can't have a DLR Fan! w/out the Columbia!

Thanks that's basically what I figured, checking the calendar it isn't playing at all the long weekend in Jan (don't know it's name, sorry) so I figure it's safe to assume that since the Columbia is under refurb Fantasmic won't be showing while I'm there.

I'm not sure how they would do it without the Columbia, maybe omit the entire Peter Pan/Hook sequence?

Yes that is what may happen, it has happened in the past.
