On our trip this weekend we are doing a couple of new things, the Happiest Haunts tour (Yay!) and I also resevered priority seating for the 10:30 Fantasmic show on Fri 10/23. The castmember who took my reservation didn't give me any info besides my confirmation #. Im sure this has been posted a thousand times but what do I need to know? Do I get the tickets/voucher before the 10:30 show? Where do I go to check in? TIA for the help:worship:

tickets are picked up just outside the tunnel into DL on the left side at Guest Services or just inside the Tunnel at City Hall.
You show your confirmation number and another ID....doesn't need to be the credit card the tickets were purchased on. You need to pick these up by 5:30pm of the day of the show you reserved seats for.
Now for the interesting part.
At about 6:30-7pm a line starts to form at the area where the little kiosk will be set up to check in and select your seats for your show. Either 9pm of 10:30 show everyone is supposed to check in at 8pm. When you pick up your tickets this is what the CM will tell you.
The area where the line forms for your seat assignment is next to the Churro Cart almost directly across from the entrance to HMH and near the Tom Sawyer Rafts.
The earlier you get in line the better your chance of getting front row seats...
by the way. Seats 1-9 are fantastic in the area in front of the middle light tower. We had seats 8-9 last Friday nite at 9pm show and they were absolutely fantasmic....;)

:) Really specifically...lol where you stand is at the concrete post/pillar adjacent to the churro cart. The area inbetween the post/pillar and the churro cart will be roped off when they roll in the podium. :) have fun! You are gonna love it!

When I picked up our Fantasmic dessert tickets in July, I had to show ID AND the credit card I used to pay for them. Just be aware that you might need it and bring it with you.

We waited in line starting about 6:45 and could have had front row - but sort of to the side. The CM remembered who was sitting in which seats and helped us choose to sit behind a mom and her little girl. Worked out great for hubby and I and the seats are off center of each other - so you really are looking over the shoulders of the people in front of you.

And only 1 person in your group needs to wait in line. The rest can go and do something else.

They've actually changed the area where you go to choose your seating - instead of waiting by the churro cart, they now have the line form on the terraced area below the cart - into the actual seating area itself (though there are no chairs set up there yet). We did this a couple of weeks ago, and they told us they moved it because the lines were getting too confusing between the line for the churro cart, the coffee cart, and the line for Haunted Mansion Holiday!

Still the easiest landmark is to go to the churro cart - and you should see CMs there who can tell you where to go to check-in for the Fantasmic! seating.

I have exactly the same reservations only on 10/31. I'd really appreciate a mini trip report on what you thought of both events-and any helpful hints! I'm very excited to do both! Thank you.

We did the show on 10/16. We picked our tickets up the day of and didn't have to show anything, just gave them our confirmation #. We did line up at 6:30 pm and were the 3rd in the row. It did line up by the churro cart but down the stairs and around. They opened at 8:00 pm, out of the first 5 people, 4 were for the 10:30 show. Just shows you need to get there early to get front row seats, which by the way can't be beat. We had a great view and were very happy to sit and enjoy ourselves. Hope you have as much fun as we did.

hey crazy4pooh....we were the ones directly in front of you in line for seats:)
front row is the way to go....
still can not believe the gridlock we observed while we were in line....un-freaking-believable..
hope you guys had a good trip back up to home.

we certainly enjoyed talking to you both in line. Made the time go by pretty quickly actually;)

Just back today and a great time was had by all!:thumbsup2 The parks were seriously slammed, like no room to move at all just a sea of people moving at the rate of maple syrup haha. It just made us all the more greatful that we decided to reserve the extras on this trip!

Fantasmic first:
We picked up our tickets at the tour booth right next to City Hall when we arrived on Fri afternoon for our 10:30 show. The castmember asked for photo Id, confirmation #, and my local phone number (?). She told us to check-in at 8pm next to the Churro cart near HMH. We got there about 7:30 because it was busy and we wanted good seats. That was a mistake it was already like 40 deep when we got there. Also it was super confusing, there was no kiosk or podium and the CMs were in a frenzy, it was hard to figure out where the end of the line was. A few mins after 8pm they started checking people in which was a slow process but the CMs here were great. Angela checked us in and was helping each group pick out the best seats left. We got 16 & 17 which were great seats in the 2nd row of the central seating area. She told us to just come back at 10, we stuck around in the New Orleans area beacause it was so crowded which sounds like it was a good idea because the gentlemen in line behind us went to see the fireworks and almost got trapped in that crowd. Angela greeted us again when we got back and sat us right away, she was AWESOME best CM we've ever encountered. We had the choice of a bunch of drinks soda, hot coco, coffee, bottled water ect. and the dessert boxes were huge and delicous. They included lots of sweets, chocolates, cookies, crackers, cheeses, grapes and strawberries. Yum! The show was indeed fantastic, view was awesome, chairs were even better after a long day. Couldn't recommend it more.

Happiest Haunts:
We checked in for this at guest services near the entrance to DCA on Sat around 4pm for our 4:45 tour (we were early). They asked for photo Id, confirmation #, and the credit card used for the reservation. Both groups waited around in the same area until they took the first tour in to a Cast Members only door ... and they were never seen again:scared1: After about 15 minutes a guest services person came and let our tour through the same door which led to a break room looking area and all the fun began. The guides on this tour were certainly a change from the Walk in Walts Footsteps tour we had previously done. The guides that we spent our 3+ hours with did a super job of keeping the whole thing really fun. Its full of lots of twists and turns and nice surprises. I think it would entertain kids 10 and up, may be a little long for younger kids, we had a group of teens in our group and they really enjoyed it (Shout out to Team Awesome!). Our rides included Tower of Terror, Big Thunder Ranch, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, and Haunted Mansion with lots of spots inbetween. They mostly just took us up to the exits where we were let right onto the rides at the next available time, no waiting in lines here!! We did have seating for the spooktacular fireworks, they will give you the info you need to get into that. We were super lucky to get roped off benches right behing the Partners statue, front and center to the castle. The PERFECT view!!! People were stopping to ask how we got to be so lucky haha. I think the location of the viewing area depends on if the "vip" area is being used that evening or not though.

I would highly... 5 stars and two thumbs up :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2.... recommend both of these activities. They really made this trip special which was such a bonus during such a mind numbingly crowded weekend.

I just got off the phone.. my daughter and I also have 10:30 10/31 seats.. whoot.. .. I messed up my knee (again) and most likely will be renting a ECV.. any idea how they handle the seating for EVC's? If it is better to park the cart then stand in line?
SEE ya'all there.. hehe..

We did the 9pm seating on 10/23. This was the best money I spent the entire trip!

I picked up my tickets on the morning of the 23rd. You must pick up your tickets that day. I tried to get them the day before but told this was not possible. A few weeks before the Fantasmic show I had made PS for Cafe Orleans at 6pm. I am sure glad that I did this because the park was packed and C.O. was not taking any walk ins that night. After we placed our order I left my husband with the kids and I went to check out where the podium was. It was exactly where is was supposed to be. Dustin was working the podium and gave me some helpful hints. I zipped back to C.O. and ate my dinner. My husband planned to take the kids on rides while I waited in line. I think I got in line about 6:45 or 7pm. I was 5th in line but 3rd for my show. The wait went fast since I had my Blackberry to surf the internet and then spent some time talking to a nice lady from Wyoming. Dustin was nice enough to explain the game plan for the show and the seating procdure while we waited in line. At 8pm they opened the line to get our seats. The first 2 groups in front of me for the 9pm show got the 8 seats in the front row of the center section. Since I had a group of 4 we took seats in the front row of the section to the left of the center. I really wanted center section but not if I had to have second row because I had 2 kids with me. After I got our seating assignments my husband and I met up to take the kids on Pirates. The wait was 25 minutes. By the time we got off the ride it was 8:45 so we hurried to our seats. It was wall to wall people in the park and it made it difficult to get where we needed to go. The CM's had the traffic flowing in certain directions and we could not reach the seating area. I finally told the CM where I was trying to go and they let us through but we were like salmon swiming upstream. It was such a pain but we made it. I was thrilled that we had front row seats and it was definately worth waiting in the line for it. The show was great. The new dragon is amazing! We only ended up eating 2 of the dessert trays they gave us as the kids did not eat a lot. We knew that we could stay after the show and watch the fireworks which was great because I loved the music for the Halloween fireworks program. Dustin actually encouraged everyone to stay because the park shuts off the lights during the fireworks and it makes it difficult to get around N.O.S. The best treat was they put up the water screen from fantasmic and showed the video of Jack from the fireworks show. I didn't expect that and it really made it enjoyable.

If you are ever thinking that maybe you shouldn't get the tickets because of the price, I can tell you they are completely worth it! The viewing area was great, the desserts were great and all the CMs that took care of us were so nice and wonderful. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
