So I messed up on my HS day today and left the park thinking I could get back in time for the shows. That didn't happen. Is there any way to see all 3 in the same night? Galactic spectacular should end at 8:00 and illuminations starts at 9. We drive to the parks. I know you have to get to spots early for good viewing at illuminations. Any way to get out of HS and to a spot at epcot in time? If so, give me a plan. TIA!

Are you talking about tomorrow? You are going to cut it close, but it could be possible. It depends how quickly you can get to your car. If you are there now, you still have an hour to get to EPCOT to see Illuminations. That is if you have a park hopper ticket. If tomorrow is your EPCOT day, you can leave EPCOT from the IG at 5ish to go over to Hollywood Studios by boat. Afterwards, you can get back on the boat to go to EPCOT for the EMH. If you saw Illuminations tonight, you wouldn't be worried about getting back to EPCOT in time for Illuminations tomorrow.

What time is fantasmic? You need to find your spot for SWAGS an hour before it starts.

Your only chance of making it for IllumiNations would be to run (not drive) to Epcot. Even then you might not get there in time. Finding a good spot would require a miracle.

Thinking of the 1st. We can run to the car to get it done. If it is even possible. Or would it be better to take disney transportation? If so what do we use? Where should we watch it from with getting there late?

I would recommend Italy. I have been there during busy times of the year, and there haven't been many people watching it from there when I was there. I hope you realize that you won't have a good spot for the Star Wars Fireworks. Fantasmic is a 25 minute show. All of the "good" spots for the Star Wars Show will be packed by the time Fantasmic is over with my experience. I would choose one or the other personally. If you wanted to use the Disney transportation, I would use the boat. It takes about 30 minutes to get there, but then you don't have to walk from Future World to World Showcase. That's a 10 minute walk in itself. The boat will drop you off right by World Showcase. If you want to see Fantasmic, I would exit EPCOT between 5-5:30 p.m. from the International Gateway. You can get the boat from there.

I didn't realize you couldn't do both at HS. Urgh. Even more difficult. What about fantasmic and illuminations one night and galactic spectacular another?

I should rephrase. it will probably be difficult. Disney changed the launch zone of the HS fireworks to the right of the Chinese Theatre when the new show debuted last summer. A lot of people that got spots along the street have complained that you can't really see the fireworks from there. You might be able to see the projections on the Chinese theater...You will have a better chance of seeing Fantasmic and Illuminations tomorrow than seeing all 3. After Fantasmic, I think you will have an hour and a half until Illuminations. Do you have any room to see Star Wars another night? If you want to send me a message with a potential schedule over the next couple days, I can try and help you get to HS to see Star Wars.

I think we rearranged things so we can see Fantasmic and illuminations on one night and star wars on another. They are 1.5 hours apart. We want to watch from the qs place in Mexico while eating nachos. Do y'all think we can make it?

You say they are 1.5 hours apart.
If you mean Fantasmic! STARTS 1.5 hours before IllumiNations, the timing will be tight.
F! runs 30 minutes, and it can take another 15 min. just to get out of the theater and then to the DHS exit.

You can get from DHS to Epcot's International Gateway in under an hour (figure 25-40 minutes for the trip between parks and getting through security.)

But, the chances of you getting all the way over to Mexico and getting your food and a table to see IllumiNations... nope

See IllumiNations from near UK or France.

I was considering attempting something like this next week. I HAVE done the run from F! to Illuminations, but that was without SWAGS. I think it is hard to get a good spot for SWAGS after F! lets out. I figure I am solo and tall, so MAYBE I can just stand in the back, but if it looks crazy, I'll just hit the trail. I can make that walk pretty briskly. Driving will take much longer than walking to the IG. Illuminations is the easier one to find a spot for, at least if it's not a terribly busy day. I think the key is to not be married to a particular scenario happening, and just see what you can do.

I have posted this now in several "last minute spots for SWaGS" threads.
If you don't mind not having the most perfect view, head to the very front of the Chinese Theater, where you park strollers for GMR, this area stays pretty empty. If you position yourself slightly to the left of the GMR main entrance you will see the fireworks plus projections. You will mostly miss the 2 side screens and the laser effects but you'll be able to enjoy the show and it's the BEST spot for the sound. It's like watching a movie from the seats closer to the screen.
Just something to keep in mind

Would it be quicker to walk to epcot? Of so, how far is it and what is the path? How much time do I need to get to Mexico? I'm not sure if my kids will even like the shows. May even leave fantasmic early if they are complaining.

1. If you are a quick enough walker.
2. Just over a mile.
3. Post #11 in this thread.
4. From where?
Better answer is that if you want to get a table,
it is not uncommon to have to be at the restaurant 60-75 minutes before IllumiNations.
Hundreds of guests will be planning to get a lagoon-side table for the show.
5. All kids love shows.
6. No way. They will love it.

(Just kidding about #5 & #6, by the way.)

We did fantasmic for the whole show. Sat in the 1st row. High tailed to the tram for our vehicle. Drove to epcot and high tailed it to Mexico. Ordered at the qs place that I wanted to. Waited for someone to leave and got a table. 30 min before illuminations, got my family seated. I high tailed it to Mexico and got a super sized grand Marnier slush and made it back to the table just in time. It was rough but. I accomplished all my goals. DH didn't think I could.
