Okay, let me preface by saying I KNOW this isn't a great use of my FP+. But hear me out...I want to be sure it really isn't in my case! ;)

We are going to be at HS on 5/15. It will be me, DH, DS 4 and DS2. Fantasmic is at 8:30 that night (park close at 8:00).

I was thinking of using my Tier 1 FP+ on Fantasmic. We would go straight to TSMM at rope drop, and DH and I would ride RR single rider.

My reasoning is, that with two little ones, I don't want to wait in line for 90 minutes. So, my question, will FP+ really save me time? If I show up at 8:00 to be seated, will I run into a problem, or do we still need to arrive an hour or more early? I believe that the seating is general admission regardless of FP+ or not.

Last, when do these become available? Are they like other shows, 2 weeks or so before the date?

Thanks much...the more I think about things the more I confuse myself!

PS...I also don't want to do a dinner package because my option is H&V...not a fan. Wanted to try 50's this time...never been.

If you show up at 8:00 with a FP+, you will have no more opportunity to find a seat than someone who shows up at 7:30 without one. If the theatre is full at 8:00, your FP+ hasn't saved you any time. The only possibility for saving time, IMO, is the Fantasmic meal package. We got that, showed up 20 minutes before the show, and got seated in the dining package section even as they were announcing it was standing room only for the rest of the theatre.

How is that? If FP+ guarantees entry, and the theater is full at 8 pm and she arrives at 8 pm, that means she didn't have to get in line 30 minutes (or more) earlier, thus saving her time?

But, on 5 /15, I believe Wishes is at 9 pm, not 8:30 and the park closes at 8:30, not 8pm and I do not think you will have a problem finding a seat if you arrive at the theater by 8:40 pm.

I think your biggest challenge would be keeping the four and two year old in good spirits for a 9 pm show after waking up at 6:30/7 am for a 9 am rope drop.

We were planning for a mid-day break to help with spirits. But thank you for pointing out the times...either I got it wrong or it's changed! Something to condsider for sure.

I don't think you will need the FP+ to see F! without having to arrive any earlier than 8:40, I can almost guarantee an 8:30 arrival on that day you will be able to find a seat.

But, if seeing F! means more than a possible extra ride on TSM, make the FP+ for peace of mind and no, to answer your question, these are not available and released at a later date like Wishes and MSEP.

So what you're saying is, you think it would be a better option to use it on TSMM. I should still be able to show up 30-45 early and get a spot to sit (somewhere). If I'm not going to be devistated if we're turned away (who knows, the kids may have a melt down before this time anyway), then I should forego the Fantasmic FP+?

Thanks for your help...see, the more I talk, the more ideas I have!
