Fantasmic for 3 year old?

I'm going to Disney in Feb. with DD13,DD3. My 13
year old is DYING to see Fantasmic will it be to much for a 3 year old?

It probably depends on the child. Our now 3-yr old loved it when he was 2. He doesn't seem to be scared by anything - loves fireworks, dark rides, etc.

You need to make the decision yourself, you know you daughter best! A bunch of strangers can't know how she may react. But read through the thread for some opinions.

I was the OP on the other thread. The best advice I got was to check out youtube.com to watch clips of Fantasmic. There are several clips from Fantasmic at WDW and the full show from it at DL. It's given me a much better idea of what to expect. I'm planning on taking my DS but am going to try and sit at the very back and near an exit if possible in case we need to leave during the show in case he gets scared but I'm thinking he'll probably enjoy it.

We took my DD and her little friend to the show last year when they were both 3.5. My DD loved the show and wanted to go see it again the next night. Her friend buried her face in her mother's lap the entire time and hated the show.

My dd, almost 4 at our trip time, lasted about 15 minutes into the show and then she wanted to leave. She didn't like the fire or the villians. It was definitely too much for her. We had the preferred seating from the dinner package, and sat in the very back so that my dh could make a quick exit if necessary. It worked well, the rest of us stayed, and my dh took her out and they found a bench to sit on and people watch until the show was over.

My daughter was barely 3 when we first went to see Fantasmic and she was fine... but that also depends on the child...only you know what fears each child has. But the show is a must see.... REALLY good...
