Fantasmic - early or late show?

If Fantasmic is at 7 and then again at 8:30pm, I'm guessing that the 7 pm show will be more crowded. Has anyone compared crowds for these two showings?

Thanks

I think they are both equally crowded. We always go for the later one right before the park closes so we have more time in the park! I think it gets more crowded quicker at the earlier, if that makes sense?

We go to the early show and getting in there is great , but leaving is a nightmare. You have people exiting the 7pm show while the people for the 8:30 show are trying to enter.

It was easier, I think to simply go to the 7pm show, and when you leave the majority of the people in the park are going to the 8:30 show, so it gave us a chance to do more of the park then leave before the later show let out and there was a massive exit to the transportation.

Just my thought!

Whenever there are multiple showings of F!, always go to the last showing. It will not be as crowded as the previous showings.

We were there in Feb over President's week and before we left we booked the Fantasmic dinner show on the PS line. We ate an early dinner at 4pm at Hollywood and Vine. You get a voucher to get special seating for the show. You only have to go 30 minutes prior to the show and you have access to a special entrance and exit. The show was completely full when we went, but the special access not only gave us great seats, but it eliminated the crowds at exit time. I think you can book the PS for either showing. You do have to reserve with a credit card. It was truly awesome and we will certainly do it again!!

I called to try to get ps's for the Fantasmic Dinner, but they were completely full. The CM suggested that we go to the latest showing because she said that the crowds are much lighter. She said that most families, especially ones with small children want to see the earlier one and leave the park. I'm really hoping that we'll be able to ride RnR and ToT a lot while people are seeing Fantasmic!!

We have a PS for Fantasmic, but the CM didn't say anything about 2 shows that night. I'd rather see the later show since we are getting a sitter.

When I made the PS, would they specify which show we had to see? When I made the PS, Disney hadn't posted the Fantasmic times yet on their website. I am now on hold with CRO for something else, I guess I'll ask about this too - if anyone picks up before I have to pick my son up at the bus stop!

Thanks

This was in the Oct. 1 update at www.mouseplanet.com

"A few days later I did the dinner package with the intention of attending the second or late show. When I informed my server of this I was told that the vouchers are given out only for the early performance. She said that there was no need for vouchers for the late performance.
I ended up getting in line on Sunset Blvd for this show. The line was the length of the entire boulevard. I still had decent seats but it was a bit close as I almost missed the start of the show… be advised."

Cheers.

Yeah, it is for the earlier show. The latest PS possible for "dinner" is 4:30 (which was completely booked) and the show is t 7pm. Huh? We are getting a sitter for the kids, and this would mean having the sitter get to the CR around 3 pm so we can see a 7 pm show. That also means cutting our day in the park really short.

Don't know if it is worth it.

We have reservations for Dec 31st at 4:30pm at Hollywood & Vine but I'm not sure of the times for the Fantasmic show. I am getting different times on 2 different calendars. Which site has the correct imformation and I see from other posts that we have to go to the earliest show. Has anyone else done this New Years Eve?
