Fantasmic dragon update???

I was wondering if anyone has recently heard anything about the status regarding the Fantasmic dragon? Last I heard they were shooting for mid-July?

First of all, let me say that I have no idea how accurate this is (as you can never trust what you hear inside the parks). But, for what it’s worth…

I was at Disneyland this past weekend and saw the Fantasmic show without the new dragon. Afterwards, I was talking to a cast member and asked about the dragon. The cast member said they are now targeting the Disneyland birthday evening (07/17) for the appearance of the new dragon as their birthday present to the park.

I did notice some small signs of activity on the island. I also noticed that the main stage area is blocked off during the daytime and a CM is standing guard. I’m not sure what (if anything) was going on, but I thought it was curious that the stage was blocked from guest access. Maybe it was just a safety issue.

Of course we won't know for sure until the new dragon actually appears, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

i think its possible some certain northern cali people (who shall remain nameless at the moment ) stole it on their last visit to DL
the *dragon* was last seen heading north on the I5 with neck and head protruding out of the sunroof ..
and is now on a temporary vacation up around the bay area

I just read on miceage Al Lutz is reporting the dragon is unlikely to appear on the 17th and is once again weeks away from debuting instead of days hope it makes it for my F! PSs in August, such a bummer

Yes, also a few cast memembers from other sites said it will be weeks. I hope when we go in a month he will be there, but then I will have to contend with all the Ap's wanted to get a peek and I will be lost in a sea of people. Im just not worried any more about it, I can still see it on youtube when it finally goes well :lol:
