Fantasmic dinner still no luck switching times

For May 16 they are still sold out. No later times or anything. I have ps for 4:10 at least I made awhile back. Today is 30 days before 5/16 right? Maybe I should try again in a week or give up?

It seems like later times open up 29 days out. This was true for me and for someone else on the board. I called in the morning of April 8 for May 7 Fant. and was told there was nothing. Called again April 8 at 6 PM and there were times open till 6:30 PM. Don't give up. I probably could have purchased a gourmet meal with the money I spent calling to get the time I wanted.

I just got a later time for the 50sPT for May 1 this week. The late times for this restraurant did not open until 3 weeks before (to the day). I tried at the 30 day mark and nothing. I also tried at the Plaza and another later 50s PT and nothing yet. So I have noted the 3 week mark on my PS (today) and will try again to get a couple of later times. It might be the 3 week mark for you too. They WILL open up later times. I've been doing this re-call for later times for my last 10 trips (past 2 years) as a regular routine.

I just got May 12th yesterday for 6PM. So keep trying.

I called on 4/12 to ask about availabilty for the FDP at Brown Derby for either 5/11 or 5/12. I got 5/11 at 6:20 which was (at that point) 29 days out. I called very late in the day on 4/12, about 10pm. So definitely try again later today and again tomorrow morning and even tomorrow night.

We just returned last night from our trip. One day when we were at MGM we were able to get a PS at Mama Melrose for 6:30pm through the Guest Relations booth. My husband asked if we were able to get the Fantasmic package (not really knowing what it was) and the Guest Relations person told him that she couldn't book the package for us but we should ask at the restaurant when we checked in. When we arrived at Mama Melrose we were seated a bit after 6:30pm but our hostess said we could do the package. We were so happy that we did the package - there were 9 of us. Our service was excellent and very fast. The food was great and there was plenty of it. It was definitely worth it to us. We got to the Fantasmic show right at 8pm and it was packed full of people. It was nice to have seats waiting for us. We had 5 children with us so it was worth it to not have to make them wait in seats so long before the show.

If you can't get the right time before you leave, you should check again while at the park.

In the past, others have posted later times opening up anywhere between 30 days and 3 weeks out. This has been our experience for our last 3 trips also. If today is your 30-day mark, then I'd suggest calling back every couple of days until later times are available.

I just called for a regular PS at Mama Melrose for 5/15. She said that the latest that was showing up was 5pm and that the rest was "booked." I wasn't aware this was an issue with regular PS, but I'll keep trying!

I think you will be able to get a different PS time,don't give up yet.

For my last 2 trips the day they opened up later times was at 25 days out (I tried every day starting at 30 days).

This is very helpful info. I am facing the same problem, but I won't give up either. After using the dinner package last year, I have promised myself that I will never again do Fantasmic w/o it. Good luck everyone!

Like many others, I had been previously frustrated by the fact the latest I could book a PS at H&V for May 10 was 4:20 -- when the show starts at 9pm, that's a LONNGG time in between! But I called back last week, and was able to book a 5pm PS. I could have booked a 5:30, and possibly even later, but we are traveling with a small one (3) who will probably need a break about then if she's gonna make it through the late evening. Plus, I factored in the fact we won't be seated immediately at 5pm. We'll still have plenty of time to waddle around the park a bit after dinner! Many people have said "just keep trying back" and it seems to work, at least as far as early May goes (making me a tad less nervous about the doom & gloom being bantied around about crowd levels then!). Good luck on June!
