Fantasmic Dinner Pkg or go elsewhere?

I"m going to try for Mama Melrose FDD - do you think this is worth even trying for or should I schedule dinner for somewhere else (I've been wanting to do 1900 Park Fare, just can't fit it into this trip though)?

The only reason I'm going to Mama Melrose is for the dinner pkg, but if the wait to get into Fantasmic is just as long then I don't see a point.

What would you do?

We were going to do the Fantasmic Dining Package but what really put me off was that the meals are scheduled so early - I believe the latest is 5.00 which is far too early for us. With there no longer being a different entrance for dinner package guests I can't see much of a benefit personally but we haven't been since they cut the number of performances.

From what I have heard, the dinner package for Fantasmic is not that great anymore. Go to the Brown Derby

We're skipping the package this trip and heading over to Flying Fish for dinner on our DHS night. Even with the package, it sounds like F! on the reduced schedule is insane and I'm not willing to deal with that craziness for a show we've seen before. I don't think we'll do F! again until either the schedule is expanded or my DD9mo is old enough to want to see it.

We didn't do the dinner pkg last year...and boy do I regret it! We opted for Sci Fi for dinner and we had such crappy seats, I couldn't even enjoy Fantasmic, and it's my favorite show!

I most def. will try my hardest to book it for free dining this year.
