Fantasmic dinner package

I need some advice please. I phoned today to try and book the Fantasmic dinner package at H&V, hoping they would have opened some later slots. I am trying to book for 10/27 or 10/28. The CM I spoke to said they don't open up later slots, and that you can only book this between 4:00 and 4:30 and that they were totally full for both days. Is there anyone out there who has managed to book a later slot than 4:30 for the Fantasmic dinner show ? Any advice on what to do next? Thanks. Only 20 days to go now

Yes they do open later times but only opened up on 9/24 for 10/2-10/8....so right now they're only opening up about a week ahead of time but you never know so I would keep calling every few days.

That stinks. I've been calling everyday since they told me they would open up new times a few weeks before. But when I just called he told me the latest time was still only 4:30 on the 3rd. Can someone tell me if they got a later time on that date?

I just found it. That stinks. The one weekend I don't call and they are all booked. My son so wanted to be able to see the parade since the Power Rangers are in it but we have our ADR for 4:00 which is right during the parade. I was trying for months to get a later time. Called every day.

If you are willing to eat at H&V for the FDP, they had plenty of openings for parties of 3-4 persons still available for the first week of October (as per the CM I spoke with this AM). I was given my choice of pretty much any time slot I wanted, from c. 4 PM through 6 PM.

If you really want to be able to both see the parade, and do the FDP... and are willing to exercise a bit of flexibility... there may be options available that would still allow you to do both. But if you have your heart set on one specific restaurant for that night, and it is already booked full for the time slot you prefer, then you will have to make choices based upon your own personal priorities.

We were planning on going on the 3rd and there is no availability at any of the restaurants. Oh well. I guess they went really fast.

I tried previously but no luck then I called yesterday and got a 5:10 Fantasmic Pkg for Oct 4 for Hollywood & Vine.

Have you considered other options, such as attending Fantasmic on a different night during your stay? Especially if you have park hopper, that might be an option that works for you--you could spend the day anywhere you wanted and then hop over to the Studios just for dinner and the show (or the parade followed by FDP). We often do this, spending the morning in one park, or at the waterparks, and then hopping to a different park for the evening. I actually try to keep my itinerary somewhat flexibile by keeping most mornings 'AR free', so that we can easily make stress free 'adjustments' on the spot while we are there.

If the issue with getting an AR for FDP is due to a larger party size, have you considered splitting up a large group (of 6 to 8, for example) so that you could be seated at two tables (for 3 to 4) instead? Sometimes that opens up a lot more potential time slots for your consideration.

Just trying to share some ideas as to how you might still be able to get the FDP and allow your son to see the 'Stars and Motorcars' parade too. Don't get discouraged and give up too quickly--there is still hope. Here's wishing you lots of Pixie Dust.

Have you considered not using the Dinner package? We usually go to WDW in the summer (June or July) and we have only used the package once (before it went to the set meals and you could just order off the menu like normal). Our last trip, we got to the theater about 30 minutes before show time and easily got seats in the grandstand without the package. We have never gotten to the theater more than an hour in advance, usually less, and have always gotten seats. Plus the seats with the dinner package aren't that great anyway, so I would rather take my chances.......

I phoned yesterday and was able to change my Hollywood & Vine from 4:30 to 5:30 for October 15. Every time I tried prior to that I was told that nothing later was available. So just keep trying - I bet you will be able to change it as your trip gets closer!

I just changed Brown Derby Fantasmic Package for 2 people on 10/3 from 4 to 5:20. 4PM should be open now.
