Fantasmic Dinner Package

I had seen a thread earlier today about how the October hours hadn't been posted yet and how could you make a Fantasmic Dinner Pkg reservation if they haven't released the hours yet...

I thought you couldn't make FDP ressies until you were AT disney... actually i thought it was the day OF??

Has this changed? We are planning on doing this and don't want to miss out on the good PS times.

I've always made my FDP reservations 90 days out.

We made our FDP adr 90 days out last year and will be doing the same in less than 3 weeks!!

We made ours 90 days out, we didn't have park hours yet, so I just made them at 4pm, when dinner service started. This way we can have a big breakfast and a snack for lunch. The only thing that stinks is that the parade was at 5pm, and I didn't want to chance changing the ressie. I am going to get there a little early, and try to get seated sooner.

Good catch, klwdisney. The FDP procedures changed a year or two ago (as I see you haven't been since 2000). You can now reserve the Fantasmic Dining Package at your regular 90 day window. At 90 days, the FDP ressies will all be before 4:30-5ish, depening on the season. They don't open up later times for the package until 20-30 days out, but you could always change yours at that time if you wanted to.

I already made mine for October, at 4 PM. We did this last December and the 4 pm time worked out perfectly. We had a nice, slow meal, then went and saw the Osborne Lights (a Christmas decoration display, it's only there in December) before we had to go get our seats for Fantasmic.

So this year, we'll keep our 4 PM dinner, and then go on rides until it's time for Fantasmic.

I have heard that once you get much closer to your date, you can sometimes get a later time if there is one available.
